benjamin
And aren't we already in here? Do we really need to be in somewhere else? It's not a change of where we talk... just curious who's on it
gogo
And aren't we already in here? Do we really need to be in somewhere else? There's actually a discussion thread in the VC facebook group asking that very question.
Analogman
forgive my ignorance but what exactly is facebook? is it just like myspace? It's not friendster.
froggie
so who uses bebo?
gogo
I have a friendster account, and a bebo account. I think I've been on bebo twice.
Reni
It's a good way to find friends from high school and college that you've lost touch with...and it's a lot less crappy than myspace, IMO. agreed. it's not as trashy as myspace. though I have mastered the myspaceface I despise the myspaceface!!! OOO
I always thought facebook was a college student deal. It used to be colleges only...it became popular because it was like a cool clique or something: "no non college people allowed" Once it gained enough steam though, it allowed all to join, and now its big business. Me and bobbob friended eachother on facebook today!
isadorah
i joined the VC group on facebook too. now the challenge to figure out who's who. EDIT: ok, now that i actually read the wall, not so much of a challenge i guess. but fun!

froggie
> I always thought facebook was a college student deal. i didnt have much interest in it when people started telling me about it, but once joining, i've come back in contact with people that i thought were gone forever 10 years ago

El Picador
Myspace still seems to be going strong. I was anti until I moved from Oklahoma to California last year and it's been an excellent tool to keep in close contact with good friends all over the country. It also keeps me up to date with my favorite artists' local happs. I don't need another one of these things.

sureshot
i remember when facebook consisted of one picture, a list of hobbies, and a message board comprised of crappy hyperlinked text and people would check it all the time to see if their university was finally added
