HighFives
number 20. I didn't think WHITE would be that high up.
Hodie
I'm #3257, but we're moving up pretty smartly, apparently. My sister and I aren't doing anything in the realm of procreating, so it must be some distant cousins.

caliber66
Is the plural form of Rivas actually Rivi?  C66?Rivi would be the plural of "Rivus." I'd say the plural of Rivas is something like "Rivades." Definitely a third declension, that one. I'm not in the top 1,000. I've never met another, though I know there is one in MLB.Saltalamacchia? quarter23cd
I'm not in the top 5000, nor would I guess I'm in the top 500,000. I think, whoever came up with the spelling of my name when they tried to "Americanize" it, the idea was to come up with a phonetic approximation of what the Czech name sounds like. On paper, though, it just looks like gibberish to most people.

andshewas
i think there are a total of two families with my last name in the entire country. when i google my last name, i find entries only for myself, my cousins, aunts or uncles, or this unrelated guy in louisiana who [i guess] is a prominent lawyer and philanthropist. we're norwegian, but what the hell kind of name is langum? barely anyone in norway has that name.  all of the names i'm associated with are pretty obscure--none crack 5000. not even my mom's maiden name [haese], which sounds common, but is spelled in the german way instead of the english way. File B has up to 65,000.

TheMaker
I'm in the top 250, which astonishes me. I didn't expect to make the list. Weirdly, none of my best friends are on it at all, and I don't think any of their names are all that rare. Half of them are pretty French, though, and the USA don't like that shit. Duck-Billed Catechist
Yes, we keep french males from reproducing and/or make their offspring take their mother's names if their mother is a good anglo (not saxon).
