IRememberDBoon
I think we all need to take a deep collective breath right about now - there is no need for personal insults, we are simply dicussing "what if's" on a bands message board, let's not say anything we might regret. bobbob1313
I don't think it's a stretch to say Nader cost Gore the election, but I also don't blame him for running.

Anyways, Gore is better off not being a politican. Look at him now because he let that go. Much better.

Mr. Kinsley
Maybe, just maybe, since this is the '08 Election thread and the Iowa caucus is happening today we could re-focus ourselves on this year and not last go round. Just sayin'.

Mr. Kinsley
Seriously, this is an interesting question, whether it has played out to be true or not. As voters do we vote with our conscience or as strategists? If there are more than two formidable contenders, that would be an important consideration. Good point. I really wish there were some way to make polls illegal. It enhances the popularity contest portion of the whole situation. How many people don't even consider a candidate because of a low standing in the polls even though they would really like him/her if they thought said person had a chance? Maybe we should switch over to VoteMatch on OntheIssues.com. Try it and see who you'd vote for in a "blind taste test."
