Lynch
I really enjoyed that. It was fun. And the socialism jokes were entertaining.
LenF
I am not sure if this was their intent, but I love the idea that they played a song that fits right into the absurd humor of the show instead of trying to choose a song to market themselves.
LouisvilleGreg
Some of the lyrics aside, really digging it upon first listen, a good upbeat pop song. Some of the drums reminded me of something from the YHF demos, maybe the rockin' version of "Kamera."
Dreamin'
I had a shitty day, but that really did put a smile on my face. Wilco will love you baby!
orchestra
Yeah, I can definitely see the YHF demos comparison. It definitely sounded like that era, maybe even like Summerteeth a little bit. I liked it even more than the other new songs, I think.  Good stuff.  I hope a video/mp3 pops up soon!

Edie
It was very beatles-esque -- and I mean that in the best way. Very poppy, fun and loved the nels riffs.
hazel
loved it, i need this episode on my ipod.
OOO
It was very beatles-esque -- and I mean that in the best way. How could beatle-esque possibly be bad?!
DAngerer09
I don't think that was Nels. That's the way the ending song always sounds. Pretty sure it was one of the guys, because when the guitar part kicked in, the crowd starting cheering really loud as the credits were rolling. I've heard the theme song a lot and sounded like someone was playing something overtop it.
davewil
Just me, or would that have been the best song on sky blue sky?
Guest Hollinger.
That would have been the best song on Rubber Soul.
So Long
I'm watching the official rerun of the show. SO GOOD. The interview is so good. I loved the "if Hilary invites us" line. woah
lasted
I was at the taping tonight and they played "Christ For President" after the taping. They actually taped it with Colbert introducing it, so I wonder if they were planning on using it in case something went wrong with the audio, etc on "Wilco the Song". DAngerer09
That's interesting. I wonder how often bands that go on there get multiple shots at songs.
Jesusetc84
I was in the emergency room tonight and missed this...can anyone possibly upload this new song?
stickman
Just caught the west coast broadcast. That was a lot of fun!
Griddles
Defiantly could not understand most of the words. The music was alight, not the close to the worst Wilco song ever ( aka whatever you think it is). A lyric treatment would be great.
zebra
Just caught the west coast broadcast. That was a lot of fun!Me too and yeah it was fun. Great to see one of their Grammy awards on Mike's gear.
pillowy star
Does it happen often that Colbert broadcasts shows from a day earlier as the newest show ? Anyway, until they fixed their problems, you can watch Wilco here:

Beltmann
The song reminded me a lot of "Just a Kid," and the band looked like just kids having a blast. Cool.
