grateful dead
I bought it about a month ago. Just because I had heard the key songs(Box full of letters, Shoulda been in love, I must be high, etc.) but it was the one wilco album I didn't own. I played it once when i got it and haven't put it in since. I love those songs live but that is one I just can't stand really. Too much twang and 90s alt for me i guess. Am I alone?? Guest Hollinger.
It's my favorite Wilco album. I listen to it probably once a week.

u2roolz
Hey VCers, I LOVE A.M. - the way that the 2nd half of the album jumped out at me at some point in time and made the whole seem well whole.Yeah, the track order makes for an exciting listen. The first couple of songs all sound/seem radio friendly than the rest lay the ground work for what Wilco continues to be. There are gems throughout this cd. I think there's also a bit of a fascination with it amongst people who got into Wilco around YHF. The odds of hearing something off of A.M. live are slim. I've only heard Passenger Side live and wished I was at the 2008 Winter Residency to have caught these songs. In fact, I made an iTunes playlist from those shows to make my own A.M. live. Kristofor PS Keep in mind though that this may be near the bottom of Wilco records in my favorites. Ha. jmacomber68w
Personally, 75% of my Wilco listening is live (thank you owlandbear!) and of that 25% studio listening, most of it is YHF. However, I consider A.M. to be a GREAT rock n roll record, a must own in my book!
Three dollars and 63 cents
A.M. has a few rough spots, but it's pretty terrific, especially when you keep in mind that it was their debut album and it was recorded in so little time. Too Far Apart remains among my favorite Wilco tunes, and quite a few of the other tracks have held up well over time. Casino Queen and It's Just That Simple are both still amazing live, and there are other crank up the volume tunes on the album. In fact, I think that CD will go in the stereo on my way to work tomorrow. I haven't played it for awhile.
Guest Hollinger.
Too Far Apart is easily my favorite Wilco song. The new live version just slays the old one, but shit that is just a good song right there.

mountain bed
I like AM WAY more than SBS.
jimthedrummer
Personally, 75% of my Wilco listening is live (thank you owlandbear!) Off topic - Why does Owl and Bear crash my browser every time I try to visit, let alone download?? But to the point.. AM is not my priority listen (studio discs a constant shuffle with live shows), but the occasional visits are always a treat. Meet the Beatles vs. Abbey Road. Meanstreets vs. Gangs of New York. etc....
uncool2pillow
I don't listen to it as often as I should. Every time I do, I forget how many great tunes it has.
IRememberDBoon
does listening to pick up the change about 12000 times count?
johnes
I like AM a lot, more than Being There.

poppydawn
I listen to it all the time. Bought my copy the day it was released. (I'm really good at Wilco.)

Maggie
I love A.M.. "Pick Up the Change" and "Shouldn't Be Ashamed" are a couple of my favorite Wilco songs. Â When I listen to Yankee Hotel Foxtrot I tend to feel like I have to sit silently and concentrate on every second of every song. When I listen to A.M. I just relax and have a good time. Guest Gym Teacher Man
I listen to A.M. a lot and think its a magnificent record. My favorite on the record is either Shouldn't Be Ashamed or That's Not The Issue. But I also love every other track, save for the mediocre Stirratt tune. This album gets some bashings around here, but for the most part, I think this album is loved by most VCers. Just a stellar debut record. Loved hearing them open with fucking Blue Eyed Soul at day 4 of the residency. Amazing.
Wilco Worshipper
When I was 1st introduced to Wilco (Summerteeth-era) my ex had all the albums but for some reason I kept skipping over this one. I didn't REALLY discover A.M. until the Summer '07 and I KICKED myself for NOT paying more attention much sooner!!!
