billydee
Can anyone say what time WILCO started playing last night?
stagerug
OK. I've had enough of this opening act. What time does Wilco come on? The music isn't bad, really. But I'd be at the bar drinking and talking over it too. I couldn't see myself quietly studying the accordian player's technique.

explodo
this bootleg will be titled "I Want To Fuck Her Really Badly"That part better not get cut off before it goes back up in the Roadcase.
Guest Hollinger.
that is pretty much the feeling I have at the end of every Wilco concert.
CaptainTrips
Anyone else a little disappointed they didn't bust out a new song?Other than that, setlist is fantastic. Great time listening to it
charles
A fantastic show. ...there was a moment early in the show when one guy in the front row was chatting up his neighbor so much that it earned a glare from Jeff & John. When the glare didn't work, it earned this fella lean-over and "Shut the fuck up" from Jeff. I wish I had my camera rolling. Â You could see that it was bugging Jeff a few songs later & he came over to shake the hands of these two and tell them that "I'm sorry about that, but I could hear you talking over myself - you son of a bitch." Â Awesome show. ...though, Spiders would've been absolutely fitting (for those of us filling out tax returns earlier in the day by Lake Michigan's shore). Â You gotta love the Brewers hat. jtosmon
That part better not get cut off before it goes back up in the Roadcase. I was recording the webcast... so I definitely have that clip at the end. It was weird because if you were wearing headphones, you could hear them unplug the left channel, followed by the infamous comment, and then the right channel goes dead. Definitely not the last sound I expected from the webcast. Haha.
Bhickman
oh so he was telling those people in the front something a bit mean. I couldn't figure out what was going on there. I was apparently in the critics section as someone from the Onion was to my left and someone else jotting things down was on my right. So bummed my son couldn't come with me...it was a great show. H.Stone
this bootleg will be titled "I Want To Fuck Her Really Badly"Â Interesting. I said after the show that if last night was the night of drunk talkers, tonight was the night of sloppy love. I guess I was more right than I imagined. (Lots of make-out sessions happening around me...)Â Great show. Must sleep.
bobbob1313
You gotta love the Brewers hat. I'm pretty sure that's the best logo in baseball history.
Preferred B
Must sleep. You and me both, sister. If anyone was wondering about the flurry of boos and crescendo of cheers during Hate it Here, someone had thrown a Cubs hat onstage earlier and Nels threw it at Jeff during the song. Jeff had a "debate" about which to put back on, and (wisely) chose the Brewers hat - but later he switched and then switched back. And the Nels Cline catwalk interlude was hilarious. Shouldn't Be Ashamed may have been my favorite song of the night. I'm assuming there's a webcast thread that will explain the "I want to fuck her really badly" discussion. Central Scrutinizer
Anyone else a little disappointed they didn't bust out a new song?Other than that, setlist is fantastic. Great time listening to itI don't know if "disappointed" is the word I'd use. "Intrigued" might be better, because they only played two the night before. It's a conscious choice not to play new stuff, perhaps, making me wonder why? Maybe I'm over "intrigued."
Preferred B
Probably just the fact that the album isn't out until June.

C'mon guys, you have a huge catalogue, why even repeat a single song, much less the majority of the night before?

Smokestack Joe
i had a great time at the show. The band was funny tonight, Nels' fashion show catwalk, Pat commentating on what he was wearing, Tweedy and the whole Brewer-Cub thing. but the music was great. Seemed like a classic show ending with the Being There tracks and A.M. took me back to the good ole days.Happy to hear Shouldnt Be Ashamed. Cant remember if i heard that at the Residency shows so it was a cool surprise. Nels just killed it Germany-Handshake, he's too much fun to watch play guitar. Very happy Wilco came to my hometown and played two straight nights. Next best thing would be my front porch.... Beltmann
Both nights were fantastic, even though Night 1 felt standard-issue. The setlist for Night 2 was closer to my heart, especially "Jar," "Ashamed," "Misunderstood," and "Red-Eyed/Got You." Glad I was able to catch both shows. As for the talkers, it wasn't a problem for me either night. My sections seemed to be filled with great fans and great listeners. One cool thing worth mentioning: My wife was only able to go Wednesday, and our seats weren't together (that's not what was cool). She was on the second level and I was on the third, so we hung out together during the opener and then went to find our seats. Right next to my seat was another guy so we started talking--this was his 25th Wilco show since 1995--and eventually he said that he had been on the second level for night one. In passing I mentioned that my wife was there now, and he immediately said, "Really? I'll switch tickets with her if you want to sit together." So Stacy and I were indeed able to sit together, and this guy's generous offer to give up his first row seat only confirmed for me that Wilco fans are the awesomest. It was also great running into a bunch of old friends. Anybody else planning to catch the free DVD screening on Monday?
brewcitypaul
My only disappointment was the number of repeated songs from the night before. C'mon guys, you have a huge catalogue, why even repeat a single song, much less the majority of the night before?   Thats my only complaint.  They have to know that so many people went to both nights and it was really a buzzkill to hear so many repeats. Preferred B
How soon before previous albums were released did they begin heavy rotation of new songs? Last time (thanks, Wilcobase) they weren't on tour at all until the month before the album's release. At those shows it looks like they were playing anywhere from 2-5 new songs ... but the album had also streamed in its entirety from WilcoWorld a month before that.
