deron11
If you would whittle this record down to 1 disc. What would be your tracklisting? Edit: One disc = 11 tracks.
nodep5
this is pure sacrilage (sp?). Don't do it, The Wilco Gods will cause terrible karma to rain down from the sky blue sky
ThisIsNowhere
Technically both parts could fit on one disc, so how would we narrow it down?
Central Scrutinizer
If you would whittle this record down to 1 disc. What would be your tracklisting? Edit: One disc = 11 tracks.I'd say if you're going to pose this, do so on a time basis -- say fitting 45:00 onto a single disk. DOMD would be equal to 2 other songs, for instance. ginandcigarettes
I'd probably keep the entirety of Disc 1 save for What's The World Got In Store and Hotel Arizona. Then add in Sunken Treasure, Someone Else's Song (it's weaker, but thematically important), and the Lonely 1 from the second disc.
Central Scrutinizer
Side A1. Misunderstood2. What's the World Got in Store3. Outta Site Outta Mind4. Monday5. Dreamer in My DreamsSide B6. Hotel Arizona7. Far Far Away8. Red-Eyed and Blue9. I Got You10. The Lonely One11. Sunken TreasureDecent choices, but you'd really end the album on a lull. I think you've got to end it with DIMD. Open side B with Sunken Treasure. Side A1. Misunderstood2. Far Far Away3. Outta Site Outta Mind4. What's the World Got in Store5. Monday 6. Sunken Treasure7. Hotel Arizona8. Red-Eyed and Blue9. I Got You10. The Lonely 111. Dreamer in My Dreams I would be tempted to throw Hotel Arizona on side one but there's no place to place it to balance the tempo of songs preceding/following. Guest Francis X. Hummel
I wouldn't change a thing. Being There is my favorite album of all time.
nodep5
I cry on the inside. Seriously, everyone stop this and go listen to Hotel Arizona on headphones real loud. You will change your mind
JessieOK
my favorite album...would not change a single thing!!
lamradio
The only clunkers on the album are "(Was I) In Your Dreams" and "Why Would You Wanna Live". Those are two songs that they probably could have left off IMO, but it's not like I skip over them or anything. I think Jeff was just pretty pilled up when he wrote/recorded them. It's impossible to say which Wilco album is my favorite, but I'd say I've listened to Being There the most out of all of them.
Sly like a Foxwell
I cry on the inside. Seriously, everyone stop this and go listen to Hotel Arizona on headphones real loud. You will change your mind agreed. Hotel Arizona is one of my favorite wilco songs

Gobias Industries
To cut it down, I would just take half of each song. So I get all my songs, you get half your length. Problem solved.
mfwahl
The only clunkers on the album are "(Was I) In Your Dreams" and "Why Would You Wanna Live".Two of my faves on the record. Say You Miss Me is the only song I could do without and I would also take off The Lonely 1 as long as I still got to hear it at solo shows.
