Lammycat
During last night's game they were talking about jimenez being only the second pitcher to toss a no-hitter and go 5-0 in April (along with Jack Morris in '84). He's now 6-0 and has allowed only 3 earned runs with an ERA below 1.00. It's early, but the Rockies are only paying him a little over a million this year and got a very reasonable price on his re-newal in the off-season (4 yrs/$10 mm, I believe). Also: nice to see BOS with some spark last night. Man they've been stagnant so far....
Sir Stewart
Also: nice to see BOS with some spark last night. Man they've been stagnant so far.... Last night was the first game of the year I was actually pumped up for and had actively planned on listening to. So yeah, you're welcome Red Sox Nation.

rareair
"his name is Dan Uggla!" shouted the marlins tv crew in unison after the 3 run shot. Too bad the bullpen blew it. Also too bad so few showed up for lincecum.

Lammycat
Kevin Millar goes back to the beginning. That's pretty cool. I always liked Millar with BOS. He played hard and seemed to always have a blast playing the game. I always liked his "take 'em as they come" attitude.
The High Heat
Milton volunteers to seek help, is put on the restricted list. I've always felt Bradley just doesn't know how to trust anyone, including himself and his own talent. At least he finally admitted he has a problem.

Nobody Girl
So, so happy for Braden. I had the bad fortune of being at work during the game, but I was listening on my iPhone. Let's just say that my level of productivity over the last few innings was inversely proportional to Braden's awesomeness.
cryptique
I haven't been paying much attention to baseball lately, but I glance at the scores every so often. Do the White Sox ever win? Seems like every time I see a score, they're on the wrong end of it.
Lammycat
Well A-Rod, that dude you called a nobody just tossed a perfect game. This is the first thing I thought of when I saw the highlights. Absolutely perfet that this happens a week after that bone-headed comment from the top-paid player in the league. Good for him.
