Tonight saw Ages and Ages - sounded like a modern Fleetwood Mac, with 3 men and 3 women, all singing complex, syncopated harmony.  Great sound!

The opener was a local Chicago band, Martin Van Ruin.  Similarly excellent.  Would definitely go see either band again.

One of my favorite albums of all time. The show was great too.

Nice to see some love for American Idiot. I love it too--and even enjoyed the Green Day tour behind it.

Going to see Shawn Colvin + two local singer-songwriters in a singer-songwriter festival here in Norfolk. Trying to go in with my mind open.

Hmmm.  After fighting off bronchitis for the last 6 weeks and finally getting the better of it, I got a head cold the other day and my old enemy bronchitis is back.  Tweedy, this is your doing!

Luckily there is no chance of me hitting on Jay's girlfriend because I am a chica and I don't happen to swing in that direction.

Julian Lage & Chris Eldridge

If any of you (particularly guitarists) get the chance, do not miss these guys. What an amazing performance. Super nice guys, too. After the show I approached Julian to buy a CD. We got talking music & guitars (surprise!) and he invited me into the dressing room to check out his '39 Martin. He handed it to me to try. I had to play guitar with Julian & Chris watching me. No pressure there, huh? He also let me try a very odd and unique Parker guitar. But I digress...

Go see these guys!

gonna pass on that and rest my leg.

back to back shows Sun and Mon put a hurting on it.

Going to be a late night, 9:00 start and 2 openers.  I'm too old for this. Is there an email address I can use to get set times?  I think you gave me one for House of Blues for the DBT show.

i'm yr fact-checkin' cuz:

The box office records a message each night with the set times at both Paradise and BMH.  The recordings are updated usually an hour or 2 before doors (basically, whenever the box office staffer arrives that night).  The number for the Paradise is 617-562-8800 and the number for BMH is 617-779-0140.
