Hixter
I was thinking about attending Riot Fest in Denver again this year, but Chicago's lineup looks much better. I'll probably skip them both, however.
worldrecordplayer
Warren Haynes and the Boston Pops performing a Jerry Garcia Symphonic Celebration, at Boston Symphony Hall. Very psyched for this show. Warren playing the Wolf guitar, which is reason enough to get me there.

Yeah, kind of bummed about the Denver line up when I saw Chicago. Looks like 2x as many bands in Chicago. Hopefully they will add some in Denver. But I will probably go again this year. Some bands I have not seen on there like Descendents, Buzzcocks, The National, Wu Tang, Bob Mould.

BTW, your friend with the guitar looks very familiar. Without asking for any private info, would love to hear the story how he got to have a 1 on 1 with Wolf.
tinnitus photography
you've probably seen him around...that's Rich Gastwirt, photographer extraordinaire and dashing man about town (let's see if Google alerts gets him over here). I was in the right place at the right time - backstage when Wolf's owner handed it to Warren's guitar tech for tuning - and I couldn't help asking if I could hold it. It was pretty surreal. worldrecordplayer
I've seen Rich at shows, and met him in the pit next to you at Drive By Truckers. Now I know the secret handshake tonight I'm going to ask Farmer if I can hold it (wearing my Wolf tee shirt should get me some consideration) Sent from my Windows Phone using Tapatalk
worldrecordplayer
i gotta say though that The Paradise sucks as a room when it's sold out. i suppose that is true of most any venue, but once you are in there is no moving. show was solid, though. much better than the Bruins. Nice review of the Television show in today's Globe. Could've used some of your photos though. http://www.bostonglobe.com/arts/music/2014/05/13/television-tuned-paradise/77Ti8jwVkCRsrL2NsHIk0H/story.html

lizish
Maybe a recording of the YAI will emerge. Sorry you missed it, but sometimes you've gotta do what you've gotta do...I know how that goes. Davey's setlist will be a sweet little consolation prize. D - got it - or at least a picture of it.
