suites
With Arcade Fire not only getting a nomination last year, they actually won the big one. I think there is like 25% chance that TWL gets some nominations.

Sweet Papa Crimbo
While it would be really cool to see the boys performing a showcase number in an album of the year nominee performance, I can't imagine it would ever happen. Corporate music sucks...and the grammys are the mouthpiece of the evil empire. They should be called the "Grammies".

barbkm
I think they will get a nomination.. sort of the Grammys saying "Hey look, we are cool. We nominated Wilco." Don't know if they will win.
uncool2pillow
I don't care if they're nominated (remote), I don' care if they win. The Grammy is the least significant performing arts award there is. If they do, by chance, perform, I would tune in, but otherwise wouldn't care in the least bit. rwilson580
They (the awards) really are a horrible joke. I still wouldn't mind if they got nominated for something though. At least I've have people coming up and saying, "Hey I saw that band you're always talking about on the Grammy list." I like being the local Wilco rep.
newbornghost
I had the same thought (about Wilco being this year's Arcade Fire statement by the Grammy awards) just after the album came out...but not only did TWL not sell as well as The Suburbs, I also just can't see the Grammy Awards making essentially the same statement (look we're cool, or look we still care about rock n' roll) two years in a row. I mean, they have a lot of pop fans to appease who were pissed about Arcade Fire's win.
Shakespeare In The Alley
They'll probably get an alternative album/song nomination, maybe a win.
LouieB
Wilco will definitely get a nomination. LouieB
deepseacatfish
They will be nominated for some kind of Grammy award, but really the awards are pretty irrelevant.
Lammycat
Wilco will definitely get a nomination. LouieBSeriously? I'm assuming, like me, a lot of people still haven't even gotten around to listening to it yet.
LouieB
Seriously? I'm assuming, like me, a lot of people still haven't even gotten around to listening to it yet. What are you waiting for. It is perfectly fine. Yea, I think there will be some sort of nomination in some category. LouieB
newbornghost
They'll probably get an alternative album/song nomination, maybe a win. Oh yeah, I should hope so. But not the big prize.

Mr. Heartbreak
They will probably get nominated for "Best Cover Art By An Independent Label Recently Formed By An Indie Rock Group."
Guest Jules
I doubt that is a real category.
Robby
I doubt that is a real category. Does it really matter? The Grammys would just make up a new category.I'm waiting for the Alternative Country Experimental Noise Pop Independent Americana Category.Wilco should sweep that category.Unless of course they get placed in the Hard Rock/Metal Category. Then they'll probably lose to Jethro Tull
suites
Say what you want about the Grammy's but just like SNL, RNR HOF and many other "bucket List" things it wouls be cool if Wilco was nominated for Album of the Year. I agree with the arguement on how do you give awards for arts (Music, TV, Movies) but I still would love them to get the recognition they deserve.
