candyfloss1214
Seriously, I'd pay money just to see Hoodo Voodo with the cowbell again. That was pretty freaking awesome.

EatMorePez
Show started at 9:17 and ended at 11:29.The mayor left early and he missed a great second encore. Choice banter: Jeff: "I'm gonna talk just like a person on the internet all night. That was so stupid, I can't believe they did that." (in reference to intentionally shining the spot light on the wrong band member during the band introductions.) Guy in the audience: "How's the weather forecast?"Jeff: "I have no idea what you're talking about." Jeff: "Not since the days of Krokus touring the mid-west, have two different double neck guitars been used on the same stage in one night."Guy in the audience: "What about Cheap Trick?"Jeff: "Oh shit, I forgot about Cheap Trick. Never mind." Another show without Impossible Germany, Jesus, Etc., IATBYH, or A Shot in the Arm and it didn't seem like anybody cared (or even noticed). Can't wait for tomorrow night! bleeinternets
Totally some personal "OH MY GOD YES!" moments in here, including but not limited to Hesitating Beauty, Magazine Called Sunset (!!!!!!) and Lonely 1. First non-The Whole Love repeat song tonight (Outtasite).
ViaTexas
Saw them in Austin and loved the setlist... but Hotel Arizona, Say You Miss Me, Nothingsever..., Radio Cure, Summer Teeth, The Lonely 1... the list goes on and on. I gotta move to Chicago...
ELS
If anyone heard a loud "Oh shit!" when they started "Magazine Called Sunset", it was me...
bböp
Meant to add earlier that they changed the second encore up a bit, playing Hoodoo Voodoo (with the long-awaited return of the shirtless roadie on cowbell) and Outtasite instead of the planned Dreamer In My Dreams. The printed setlist listed a second encore of Dreamer and The Lonely 1, so hopefully we'll get the former at either Metro or Lincoln Hall. And man oh man, finishing up with The Lonely 1—especially after a raucous pairing like Hoodoo>Outtasite—really does make for a devastating finale, doesn't it? On a personal note, I also thought to myself that this really was "the handclap show," wasn't it? It was a lot of fun getting Nothing'sever..., Standing O and Casino Queen in the same show—and a lot of fun to see lots of folks up front participating in the handclaps. The only big handclap song I can think of that was missing was Kingpin. Also, kudos to the crowd for what I thought was a pretty solid effort on the Summer Teeth harmonies! Getting to hear Kicking Television was also great! I sort of had a feeling it was coming somehow, and it just felt right, especially with this being the Wilco's first full-band show at the Vic since the Kicking TV run six and a half (!!!) years ago... EatMorePez
If anyone heard a loud "Oh shit!" when they started "Magazine Called Sunset", it was me... I heard a very loud "OH MY GOD!!" during the very quiet beginning of Muzzle of Bees from some woman who apparently loves that song.
insideoutoflove
I am speechless, and I still can't sleep. This may be my favorite Wilco show to date...and I've been to a lot of shows. Dang, guys. You really know how to throw your fans for a loop.

remphish1
Wow... Say You Miss Me, Magazine, Nothingsever, Lonely 1, Hotel Arizona (which Glenn hates!)....best setlist of last few years non livingroom shows imho! It is even nice they brought back Wilco (the song)...
deceasedlavy
Good golly. I am making a solemn vow not to be broke next time Wilco does a multinight Chicago run. On one hand, SO lame they sandbag everywhere else on setlists. On the other hand, SO awesome for the hometown crowd.

Yeah..he does...well at least back in 2005 when i asked him if they ever planned on playing it again. He said...I hate that song..I made fun of Jeff for it. That is what he told me at least! He must have lost a bet recently or something

Preferred B
On one hand, SO lame they sandbag everywhere else on setlists.Oh, come on. The last show I attended before these was Milwaukee, which was great. Encore bookended with both versions of Outta Mind/Outtasite! Last night was awesome. Not that I would mind hearing some other repeats from previous nights, but it will be so cool if they keep this pattern up.
SarahC
but you failed to mention if it was a hoT roadie! and by reading this thread i've learned that roadie's name is josh. he was really cool in atlanta. nice dude! this setlist.... wow

One of the best Wilco shows I've ever seen. When it all boils down, the performance is way more important than the setlist. I totally respect treating the hometown fans to the rarities; doesn't stop me from feeling a little jealous, that's all!
Jimmy Coulas
Very fun show last night. The show took on a completely different vibe than the first two.
