lifegoesoff
The most underrated Wilco song?
Andrew McKean
It is a great one. Seriously over looked on A.M. I feel like.
Sweet Papa Crimbo
Not only the most underrated, I would say it may well be the best song Jeff has ever writen.
kidsmoke
Not only the most underrated, I would say it may well be the best song Jeff has ever writen. Now you're just talking crazy. Seriously? With so many other magnificent songs from which to choose?
lifegoesoff
Not only the most underrated, I would say it may well be the best song Jeff has ever writen. I would give that title to Wishful Thinking, but Dash 7 would probably be second.
kidsmoke
I love Wishful Thinking.
remphish1
I saw Jeff Solo once and Nels joined him on Dash 7 on the Dobro and it was freaking awesome!! I just looked on wilcobase and the song has only been played live 8 times
worldrecordplayer
I would give that title to Wishful Thinking, but Dash 7 would probably be second. Dash 7 is not a personal favorite, but if you're talking about Wishful Thinking, well now that's another story entirely!
choo-choo-charlie
Dash 7 is one of the tunes that sold me on Wilco in the early days of my fandom.

I just looked on wilcobase and the song has only been played live 8 times I caught a Jeff/Nels performance, too - great stuff, indeed. I didn't realize that the song was played only 8 times. Caught 3 of them. It is a good tune.
Tweedling
It is a bad ass song. A dear friend of mine once had this authentic looking baseball jersey made for me as a gift, it has Wilco embroidered on the front (split by the buttons) and Dash as the name on the back and a large 7 as my number. it was my idea hahaha thanks again Stooka! worldrecordplayer
It's a powerful song. My problem with it is that it evokes strong feelings of melancholy and sadness. Which speaks to the power of the song, but I just don't like the effect it has on me.
Ghost of Electricity
Ummm..., I skip it usually...

spui
Great pedal steel guitar by Lloyd Maines.
choo-choo-charlie
Great pedal steel guitar by Lloyd Maines. I believe he appears on Uncle Tupelo's Anodyne as well. Beautiful playing. If only his daughter's music had been as good...
calvino
If only his daughter's music had been as good... Really? I think she inherent her pop's talent - great set of pipes. I am guessing he is proud (if he isn't he's an idiot).
bleedorange
Yeah. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the Dixie Chicks.

Muzzle of Dan
This thread made me start requesting this song for the Hollywood Bowl. I'm aware it's an impossibility, but it would be kick butt. There are not enough pretty words to portray my love for this song.

I'm aware it's an impossibility, but it would be kick butt. There are not enough pretty words to portray my love for this song. It's not an impossibility at all. I went to the show on August 4th in Columbus & watched them play ELT for the first time this tour. Jeff even introduced it as "a song we haven't played in a while." I guess those 100+ requests that I put in actually paid off.
choo-choo-charlie
That came out wrong in my fatigued state. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the Dixie Chicks. That is, some of their material. I didn't care for the heavy pop-leaning "country" material, but definitely enjoyed it when they were in folk-bluegrass mode. I also liked what I heard from the sisters' side project, Court Yard Hounds.

froggie
i know Jeff will disagree, but i think 'I thought i held you' is their most underrated tune
