Seems like tickets for Northampton went on sale before the scheduled 10am. Only one lone ticket on the floor left as of 9:50AM.

We can knock Ticketmaster for their ridiculous fees, but at least they are consistent with on sale times...

There was likely a venue presale. I think the local promoter in Northampton might not limit how many tickets are available for presale. I vaguely remember that being an issue when Jeff played there last time, in 2009, I think? I remember buying a ticket separate from my friends because they were still deciding how many people wanted to go and I was worried I'd miss out on a decent seat.

There was a presale for mailing list members of the iron horse, started a couple of days ago. Managed to get front row.

Holy cow!!! I hit the jackpot for Ithaca today. Some kind of "Gold Circle" tickets (sounded like a Willy Wonka thing- maybe they are Orchestra Pit) got 4 of them in Row C Center- 3rd row ($12 more & didn't even know they existed)... then two on the aisle, fifth row center...and this is on top of the 4 10 row dead center I got at the pre-sale.

I know lots of folks who want to go, but... I'm anticipating extras here, so I'll keep everyone posted as the plot unfurls.

Damn!  I thought I had great seats.  Row D.

See, if was at Higher Ground I'd be Row A courtesy of a very early arrival :)

I love Higher Ground!  Saw my first Jeff Tweedy solo show there, front and center, around 2007ish.  Row A at the Flynn is not all it's cracked up to be, though.  My brother-in-law says there are a couple of "dress circle" rows of folding chairs in front of us.  Should still be very good seats though, as we are right in the middle :)

I was on vacation on Madeline Is in Lake Superior when the tickets went on sale.  My phone didn't play well with ticketmaster and i was on a crappy 3G connection (Tom's Burned Down Cafe wasn't yet open so no wi-fi).  I gave up and figured stub hub would have something. I scored row F (for Akron) when i got home.  So, pretty happy.

I'm just excited for not having to drive more than an hour.

I AM bummed that my 10 year old daughter didnt want to go - the last time I saw the guys was at the LC Pavilion 2 summers ago and she made me promise that I'd take her when they were closer to Cleveland.  She'd rather see Katy Perry.   :heartbroken

Has she seen a picture of young Spencer? She might respond to the young eye candy.

Hoping to hear about more Wilco shows this late Summer/Autumn/Winter still... we've got four, & I'm going to two of them (Akron & Columbus), but, correct if I'm wrong, it seemed to be inferred when the Akron & Columbus shows were announced that, despite their being no tour proper, that there were going to be more dates announced... right?

I figured a bit after this last spat of Tweedy/Jeff Tweedy shows were announced that we'd be hearing about them sooner or later...hoping for a couple in NYC...and I can't imagine Chicago (especially after the Taste Of Chicago cancellation) not getting something (bet you'll get a Tweedy/Jeff Tweedy make-up gig too gang!)....

Well, just be happy you're seeing two shows. That's two more than most people.

Bahamas (Alfie Jurvanen) was announced as the opener for Wilco for the 2 Ohio shows.  I suppose it was a little overly optimistic to hope for an "evening with" format for their first live full-band shows in ALMOST ONE YEAR.  And I think we're about to the point where there won't be any more shows announced to go along with these.  There's only a tiny little window of time from the end of Aug till mid Sept when everybody in the band is free.  Maybe they'll squeeze in another show or two, but it seems it's getting kinda late.

So, I anxiously await Columbus... less than 3 weeks away!

My guess is a couple of shows within an hour of NYC and a couple shows within an hour of Chicago, both in December. Probably early-ish December.

Wilco is going to announce a show in the NY metro area at a theatre. Show will be in late September. Two dates I think, but not sure. They are also going to announce a few other dates as well. Paramount Theatre in Hudson Valley I think is the venue in NY.

Well the hits just keep on comin'!!!! This is about as great a news as I could have hoped for. PLEASE let it be on, or towards, a weekend (so friends of mine can make it there easier)!! Also the last time they did three dates- two in Prospect Park & one at Terminal Five- all of those became Roadcase shows & what an amazing run it was!!! So I'm also hoping for the hat trick too!!

I've got two St. Vincent shows in Ohio (the place to be this time of year apparently) on Sept. 30th & Oct. 1st, so I just hope it doesn't overlap with those. Hate to miss the St. Vincent shows (but I have seen her twice this tour already) & if I have to I will...or should I say, I Wilco ;)

I guess the NY area dates, if they are in September, would be more likely to be in mid, rather than late September- especially with Wilco playing the 3rd & 4th & then the 6th & 7th.

They could be somewhere between Sept. 7th (last Wilco date at Lock'n) & Sept. 19th when the Tweedy Tour picks up big time...hoping for the weekend of Sept. 12-14 area!! Thinking that we'll have an announcement pretty soon if they are mid-September & apparently word is leaking out.  If one of them is at the Paramount, in Peekskill, Sept. 8-12 & 15-18 are open dates there as of right now (come on Friday the 12th!)

I should add that I wonder if these aren't in late September, then maybe they are possibly more likely in later, or mid, October (there's a Tweedy break between Oct. 5th & Nov. 4th), if they are in late anything, since Tweedy/Jeff Tweedy is playing the following schedule in late September & that just doesn't seem likely, or even possible really...

Sept. 19: Athens, GA (Georgia Theatre)

Sept. 20: Bristol, TN (Bristol Rhythm & Roots Reunion)

Sept. 21: Philadelphia, PA (Merriam Theater)

Sept. 23: Brooklyn, NY (BAM Howard Gilman Opera House)

Sept. 24: Ithaca, NY (State Theatre of Ithaca)

Sept. 26: Boston, MA (Berklee Performance Center)

Sept. 27: Northampton, MA (Calvin Theatre)

Sept. 28: Portland, ME (State Theatre)

Sept. 29: Burlington, VT (Flynn Center for the Performing Arts)

Oct. 3-05: San Francisco, CA (Hardly Strictly Bluegrass)

I think it is going to be between the Virginia dates and the beginning of the Tweedy tour on the 19th. I'm sorry I don't have more information, but I'll try to get confirmation tomorrow. I was so excited when I got the call and the invitation on Friday afternoon, I wanted to share what I knew on here.

I looked at the paramount theatre website and their calendar is open between September 8th - 12th and then the 15th thru the 18th. That synchs with the Tweedy Tour schedule and the early September Wilco commitments.
