KevinG
This is why I don't gamble - the Yankees are looking great.Cub's bats better start doing something real quick. Yeah no doubt. So glad to see the Indians out of it. I really hate their racist logo. Plus Aaron Judge is a giant human, which I find amusing.
KevinG
My god I don't think I can handle any more of this game. Top of 9 Cubs up by one.
calvino
It was a good one -- nice way to strike out the last two for the win, too.
mountain bed
My god I don't think I can handle any more of this game. Top of 9 Cubs up by one.I counted at least 2 dozen heart attacks here last night. That game was INSANE.
NoJ
I'm irked that none of the Cubs playoff games are on WGN. Only on cable. wtf.
calvino
I'm irked that none of the Cubs playoff games are on WGN. Only on cable. wtf. Yeah it does suck - I have been getting Sling for October the last few years.
chuckrh
Yankees down 2-0 in the series. Life is good.

calvino
Yankees were down 2-0 in the Cleveland series and I figured they were done. I like this Yankee team. Verlander was incredible, yesterday.
calvino
Curious to know if anyone didn't think that Lackey was going to give up a home run or at least a hit to Turner?
KevinG
Curious to know if anyone didn't think that Lackey was going to give up a home run or at least a hit to Turner?Joe Maddon apparently. The Cubs bullpen is terrible thus far.
calvino
Yeah - I should have wrote, 'besides Joe' --- Lackey didn't even look too confident.
calvino
Guess it would be cool to have a Yankee/Dodger world series. Old School. It's great to see Todd Frazier producing and having fun --- for the past few years he had the fun down pat - but not the producing.
Lammycat
Guess it would be cool to have a Yankee/Dodger world series. Old School. Except that everybody hates the Yankees and the Dodgers.
tinnitus photography
fucking Lackey....
KevinG
Except that everybody hates the Yankees and the Dodgers. The only thing that would be cool if the Dodgers got into the World Series to see if they will actually lose a game. I don't think any team has gotten threw a DS, LCS and WS without losing. calvino
Except that everybody hates the Yankees and the Dodgers. I didn't think hating each of these team was still a thing. Both teams seems like it a nice balance of well paid veterans and younger guys -- unlike many of the previous Yankee/Dodger teams (esp. Yankees.) I guess people tend to hate large market teams. calvino
Well you're from Boston - so that I understand. I still think a Yankee/Dodger series would be a great one, though.
tinnitus photography
to be honest i really wanted to hate Judge but after seeing him on the home run derby he's just a really likable player.

I don't think any team has gotten threw a DS, LCS and WS without losing. Not a pure sweep (4-3 in ALCS over CLE) but '07 Red Sox swept L.A. in the ALDS and COL in the WS... '99 NYY only lost 1 (to BOS in ALCS) for post-season....

calvino
2005 was fun. The below was one of my favorite moments against Boston, when El Duque got of the 6th in Game 3 with the base loaded and no outs. I kept a poor dude delivery my food waiting at my building' front door, so I could watch him get the last out. Exciting stuff. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C0s7svX1lY0
