  1. More type profiles on Keirsey.com Temperament: Idealist Type: INFP (Healer)
  2. The real MBTI can only be administered by a qualified professional counsellor or facilitator (usually with a graduate degree in psychology and some additional training), but there are similar tests available online. The MBTI is a real personality inventory, not just a Cosmo-style quiz. If you're interested in Jung's theory and the MBTI, check out Gifts Differing. Please Understand Me is good too.
  3. Congratulations! I'm glad that this election will be over soon... even though I might not like the result.
  4. I'm trained to administer the MBTI and I've always been fascinated with Jung's theory of psychological types. My type is INFP (clear preference for all) and it's spooky how well I fit the profile.
  5. Ha! I guess they don't buy the co-opted (fake) "hockey mom" bs. She isn't like any of the pro-choice, tree-hugging, gay marriage blessing, universal health care loving hockey moms that I know. I think Obama is uniquely qualified for the job. There's no one more suited to inspire and empower the American people to pick up the pieces and build a better world than a former community organiser.
  6. Stephen Stills would probably disagree. I have two tickets for the Vancouver show in a couple of weeks, but I won't count my chickens 'till he walks on stage.
  7. Calculate your Green Shift tax benefit
  8. Mr. Young is definitely fucking with us.
  9. They recommended my pick (Dawn Black, MP) as well. She has represented us well, so hopefully she will be re-elected (and score a point for the NDP).
  10. How not to elect Harper If we split our votes: Conservative 141 Liberal 73 NDP 35 Green 0 Bloc 57 IND 2 If we vote strategically: Conservative 97 Liberal 109 NDP 46 Green 1 Bloc 53 IND 2
  11. When I conduct a job interview, the candidate's character is a very important factor in my decision to hire (or not). Snakes in Suits
  12. I also thought of Natalie when I heard this. A very fitting tribute, I think!
  13. The only movie star who ever made me swoon.
  14. Thanks, B. "Always in Love" sums up everything Nat was about and it's a fitting tribute. "You know I won't forget" Nat was only in my life for a very short time, but she left a huge footprint in my heart.
  15. "It doesn't matter what country someone's from, or what they look like, or the color of their skin. It doesn't matter what they smell like, or that they spell words slightly differently - some would say more correctly." There were only two seasons of Twitch City (the DVD I sent you was the complete series).
  16. I just watched the first season on DVD (no HBO here) and really enjoyed it. I've always loved that gentle, totally deadpan Commonwealth humour. The New Zealand inferiority complex re: Australia is similar to Canada's about the US. Also, "Foux du Fafa" is extra funny if you're a unilingual (English) Canadian with only a working knowledge of "cereal box" French. And also, Bret is hot (in a "pretty" way).
  17. Growing up, Peter Buck was like the cool brother I didn't have; I discovered a lot of great music from reading about other musicians and bands that he was into or connected to in some way (e.g., the Replacements). I love that guitar and I'm glad it found it's way back to Peter, but he's gotta get rid of that sticker.
  18. The LSD candidate drops! Just another day on the west coast.
