  1. Tonight, Heart of Gold was on TV and my 2 yr old daughter said, "Neil! Dance, mommy!"
  2. I had a shitty day, but that really did put a smile on my face. Wilco will love you baby!
  3. Wilco, Neil, and the Bay Area are my idea of heaven. Thanks for your detailed reports.
  4. I've yet to see a picture of the suspect or the missing child in the news. Why do they waste time talking about Jennifer Hudson's career when they could actually be doing something useful!
  5. A few years ago, one of the fashion victims on What Not to Wear refused to let them throw his old Wilco t-shirt in the garbage. (I preferred his pre-makeover, thrift shop wardrobe.)
  6. Oh, and more random Canadiana: Neil was wearing a Louis Riel t-shirt.
  7. Our seats in the penalty box were worth every penny. I had a great view of the stage and the very diverse GA crowd on the floor - Boomers, aging Gen-X tech geeks, biker-hippies, hippie-bikers, white haired grandmothers w/ their grandchildren, Kevin Chong (the guy who wrote Neil Young Nation), stoned indie kids, chatty teen girls, and lots of young couples. Wilco should have no problem winning a few new fans in December.
  8. Same "holy shit" setlist as MN, except we got Oh, Lonesome Me in place of Helpless. I really liked the new songs, too. Love And Only Love Hey Hey, My My Everybody Knows This Is Nowhere Powderfinger Spirit Road Cortez The Killer Cinnamon Girl Oh, Lonesome Me Mother Earth The Needle And The Damage Done Unknown Legend Heart Of Gold Old Man (w/ Larry Cragg on banjo) Get Back To The Country Just Singing A Song Sea Change When Worlds Collide Cowgirl In The Sand Rockin' In The Free World A Day In The Life Definitely my fave Neil electric show - somehow, he just keeps getting better and bett
  9. Wasn't it a full moon last night? I spent my life savings on 2 tickets to the Vancouver show next Wednesday. Hopefully he won't cancel it.
  10. I'm relieved that the Conservatives won't win a majority (whew!), but I'm disappointed that the Liberals did so poorly. I think Stephane Dion is a smart, decent guy... but they have to find a leader who can win. The NDP is leading in my riding (so far), so my fingers are crossed.
