I have a soft spot for any album that is connected to a live show that I saw (Weld, Harvest Moon, Greendale). Like Solace, I think Greendale holds up well (Bandit, in particular) ... and I still watch the film occasionally. The Ryman concert film is moving and beautifully shot, and Prairie Wind has some really strong songs. Silver & Gold has its moments, too.

10 hours - whoa! My husband and I drove from Melbourne to Adelaide when we visited Australia in 2003. We stuck to the Great Ocean Road route at first (gorgeous scenery), but it took ages, so we headed inland after the Apostles.

I'm going to adopt a Kaizen philosophy of small, continuous improvements this year - e.g., use my own coffee mug, water bottle, grocery bag, etc. at least once every week to ease into better habits. I figure if I set a really easy short-term goal instead of something ambitious, there's a better chance this will lead to a lasting change in the long-run. I also like Eric's idea of getting rid of stuff I don't need.

I spotted the first Cadbury Creme Egg of 2009 today, so I consumed it in memory of Nat. This could become a tradition.

Since Neil Young is such an important figure in Canadian culture, it should be mandatory for every public library in the country to have the complete NY Archives series. There should also be a govt grant that we can apply for to purchase a Blu-ray player. ... And a national holiday if it ever gets released.
