so far i haven't found it listed elsewhere on amazon in the US or on Music Direct so i'm holding back my joy right now. if anyone goes by a record store today, ask 'em to look it up and see if they can find it listed.

Not really in my case, as I first got into Wilco a few months after AM was released. I just don't listen to that type of music much anymore, and when I do, it tends to be in the car or outside with a mix playing rather than when I sit down to listen to an album.
-
I listen to the hits and a few others that I have on some playlists, but it has been years since I sat down and said "Hey, I should put on AM." Last time I remember not making it all the way through, whether it was my mood at the time or whatever reason.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Summerteeth-VINYL-...o/dp/B001R4MEZM this was just posted on another site. is there an upcoming summerteeth vinyl reissue?

from what I remember reading previously, maybe in Kot's book, was that Max didn't leave on the best of terms. loked it up and found it on pages 115-116. although, it sounds like Jay B was more of the issue than Jeff.
-
haven't watched the video but Max was touring with them then, so i betcha it's him.

those are both good phones. i like my etymotic er4-p but they're in ear. you could try their earplugs for 12 bucks and see if they work for you. i find them incredibly easy to travel with. i can't see lugging a standard pair of phones around, but i travel light. i agree that the sealed phones are the way to go. it's annoying sitting next to someone with unsealed headphones. i have a pair of grado 325 phones and you can hear them across a quiet room. i think the er4-p are as good if not better than the grados i have.

the sound wasn't so great at the MSG show. upstairs wasn't sold at all so there was a lot of sound bouncing around in there. didn't stop the enjoyment, though. that was a very fun show with S-K and the Lips to boot!

cloudland canyon. what if wilco circa AGIB had gone even further out there?

she sure must've liked Buffy and Charmed. -
similar playlist in charleston but a few more songs including black dog and kzq. i think they played over two hours in charleston.

caught them again saturday night in charleston. very good crowd of a hundred or so. a little less than last time maybe due to football season. i agree that "skinny dipping" is a good song. there's a song about a butterfly i like. a lot too. played lots of old songs but no "generic america" or "big black river." did a cover of the faces "Oo la la."" one other 70's cover also. kind of slow but i was taken right back to my preteen days with a transistor radio. still don't have the cd yet as i'm waiting for the vinyl. laurie said it should be out mid november. she was really frustrated at th

except its faster than a standard corvette with better handling. but it does cost more. btw, a 4 seater electric from tesla is in the works.

i was at the HOB show as well as the last two at the NPAC in Charleston, and the HOB show is thought to be the best not only in my opinion but also in the opinion of various other friends who all were in varying locations for seating/standing at all the shows. that being said, i mainly disliked the recent show due to the 1 annoying guy yelling at the start and then complaining later about the sound, as well as the general restlessness of the crowd, and the fact i had to get up early the next day. as opposed to the HOB show where my wife was the DD and we piled 7 people into a land cruiser

he liked pink floyd cover bands. -
yeh, but in the back it was all talking and roaming around. really annoying. a few other friends in the back, nearby where i was, thought so too. but my wife and other friends in front of the sound board had no complaints.
-
sound was stellar for the first half of the show last night then they cranked the bass and it all went to mush. charleston in particular has bad bass heavy mixes at most venues, people now expect it i think, so the guy wasn't liking the mix as it wasn't "loud" enough, ie not boomy and deafening. that crowd last night sucked and i'm gonna think twice about seeing wilco in town again unless i'm third row or similar, as i was the show previously. impossible germany was incredible.

as long as you're not prone to road rage, i say go for it.

proceed with caution. i'm not a fan.

i'm partial to devo's gut feeling/slap your mammy.

well i think my secondhand info may be wrong as someone else just told me the box office doesn't have tix. sorry about that. i really shouldn't listen to my wife so much.
-
a friend has been looking into tix and says there are tix at box office and on craigslist if anyone needs some.
-
while you're out there ask 'em why they never play charleston. i tried to get the music farm to host them during an off night between fla and nc this spring but it didn't happen. enjoy the show.

i've seen the bmx'ers practice landing in large bins of foam.

she's 21 months. just a little too young for a show at that time of night. i've already bought her noise blocking headphones for when the time comes. we found a babysitter, btw, so we'll be there.
