  1. Think I would have made choice, too.
  2. I just think they pulled the trigger too soon - it happens a bit. I sure Dead.Net wants to be the first and they are waiting for after the showing.
  3. I think you may be right --- you can add, they sell more records, merchandise, etc.... plus chicks seem to dig Mathews much more so than Tweedy.
  4. Not to mention that DMB makes shit ton more money on the road then Wilco (very sad to say).
  5. Since the band members are essentially paid employees, I would say yes.
  6. Never got to see a Highlands - nice. Was fortunate to catch a lot shows from 97 to 02 - Still think that is my favorite live Dylan era. Though if I seen him in 63-66 or 75-76 I may have a different view. Talking about songs performed by Dylan - below is a "Bob Dylan Songs Play Live" link. (9 times for Highlands) http://www.bobdylan.com/us/songs/played-live
  7. Hey I didn't write the below (not that I don't agree with, necessarily, though ---- it did throw me for loop, I had to go back in the thread to see if I did write it) calvino, on 25 Jul 2013 - 13:19, said:
  8. For some reason, I can't believe Dylan would remember every tune he wrote --- could be wrong. I wonder if every time he sees or thinks of Sante Fe, he thinks "hey I wrote a tune call Sante Fe" and starts to whistle the melody.
  9. That would be a great title for the upcoming Wilco/Tweedy realty show ---- heaven forbid!
  10. I wonder if Dylan would even know what the sign meant, especially if he is playing on the East coast ---- probably would think the person needed a bus ride to the West....
  11. Before clicking I figured $89.00 --- I was close ---- vinyl is ridiculously expensive.
  12. Imagine that "a terrible of a Dylan cover" ---- lot's and lot's of good ones, but plenty of duds too.
  13. Yep - you're right - good tune - Golden Loom is one from the Desire period that's a good one, too - Love playing that one on guitar, mostly because it's easy.
  14. Hopefully Tweedy is providing the rest a decent health insurance plan - between Glen and Nels, sometimes it looks like a blood bath up there on stage, not to mention John's jumping off the damn amps... I imagine none of them are hurting for money - but wealth is all relative, anyways.
  15. New Morning is a good one - one the last ones I purchased from him, I did not get it until it was remastered a few years ago. The Man in Me is a good one, too. He did perform "If Dogs Run Free" for a bit in the early 2000
  16. Some Blu-rays are great - some not so much - I guess it depends on one's system (God I sound like I'm in the Hoffman Board ) I never gotten around getting the GD Movie on Blu-ray, because I am happy with my DVD version - though I heard the GD Movie Blu-ray sounds and looks great...(I don't want spend extra dough on what I have, though). If I something on DVD, i don't bother to upgrade.
  17. I guess both sites may have jumped the gun a bit - not a lot of info on either page. I hope 6 months from now they don't release it on Blu-ray - hopefully they do it right away.
  18. Looks good --- Seeing Phish this weekend - 3 nights in Chicago - should be interesting if I actually make it to all three - at least a cool front is coming through this Friday.
  19. That's cool. Never did see that film.
  20. Visa issues - I believe - I am sure he will be back once their back in the States. After do some reading - I might be wrong - Who knows!
  21. The below is fun, interesting read - it's about the Rolling Thunder tour, 75-76 (what Tweedy hoped the Americanarama Fest would be like). Ratso is a fun writer, too.
