  1. Looks good --- Seeing Phish this weekend - 3 nights in Chicago - should be interesting if I actually make it to all three - at least a cool front is coming through this Friday.
  2. That's cool. Never did see that film.
  3. Visa issues - I believe - I am sure he will be back once their back in the States. After do some reading - I might be wrong - Who knows!
  4. The below is fun, interesting read - it's about the Rolling Thunder tour, 75-76 (what Tweedy hoped the Americanarama Fest would be like). Ratso is a fun writer, too.
  5. I always enjoyed Self Portrait - the next Bootleg Series is from these sessions.
  6. Do you have a link - wouldn't mind reading that.
  7. Exactly - If Zimmerman just did the above (and listened to authorities), I don't think we would be discussing any of this and another person would be alive.
  8. Interesting that Dylan doesn't want to spend his time meeting with the young whippersnappers like Wilco and MMJ - but will with one of his idols (and friend) Bobby Vee after or before the St. Paul show. Though he doesn't seem to enthused, here, either - I think Bob needs to lighten up.
  9. I think we talked the Parrish book a bit ago in this thread - okay book, I guess. Not too enlightening. I need to check out MoonAlice - nice line-up.
  10. Who says Bob doesn't mix it up. Played a different tune last night - man is on a roll. Take that Tweedy. Video of 14. Susie Baby (song by Bobby Vee) (Bob on grand piano, Donnie on pedal steel, Stu on acoustic guitar, Charlie on lead guitar)
  11. Speaking of Dead books, I just finished this one - it was okay, I guess. It does seem that Carol Brightman (sister of Candance, Dead's light director) just wanted to write about her past political activities and she used the Dead as a backdrop (the book came out just after Garcia died, though started in 93 - it seems she was getting on the Dead bandwagon). Lots of politics, which I didn't mind, because I enjoy politics, but I never equated the Dead and politics before. With the expectation of Jerry, she was granted interviews with every other member - the stuff with Hunter was my favorite par
  12. Majority seems a bit extreme and a bummer for you, I guess - which releases have you enjoyed? For the most part I find more good stuff in the releases or the good stuff out ways the bum notes. The last release that did not do much for me was the Dave's Pick 74 show - Dillon, I think. I don't get every release, though - usually every other one. I am surprised that I held out so far on this latest 77 box set - can't wait for it to sell out, so I don't have to be tempted anymore.
  13. I just got it from the library, haven't started it yet, though.
  14. Yeah, you are right - I am guessing a Forever Young or maybe even a Blowin in the Wind sing a long at the last date --- kinda of sucks.
  15. Read that rain swept through --- plus it's Duluth, isn't it always cold up there? From the picture on the Wilco Facebook page, the crowd looked pretty decent. Looked like a great place to see a show - nice scenery. Over on expectingrain.com there some other decent pictures. http://expectingrain.com/discussions/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=76300
  16. Listened to the show a number of times already - it's a good one. I am a subscriber, so I would be getting it regardless. I enjoy releases that I don't have or never heard of before, though.
  17. I was at that Summerfest too, though not on this board - 2005 for me.
  18. That is a great shot - Weir does looks pretty healthy, too.
  19. Nice to see Kamera - very nice set-list.
