I did notice Roger's vocals were a bit off for a second or two during the performance, but overall it(production) seemed fine with me. Loved the stage.

It is going to be re-mastered to the specs of the original quadrophonic master, playable on home theater systems - out this month. So it will sound even more amazing.

It looks like they will be playing Sunday. Part of an email I got this morning:
-
For those XM/Sirius subscribers, another nice thing about The Who playing the halftime. Gives me a good reason to turn off the Grateful Dead channel.

What happens to those who do not have much money and are pretty much forced to spend it on corporations that may not fit their political views?
-
Guess they definitely will be playing Pitchfork. link

But didn't you imply that you thought it was a bit dangerous or at least "ominous" before you actually read it because of the Chapman association? At least that is what I came away from the below post.

That was my first thought, too.

Those are some nice cameras, too.

I just downloaded the Prodigal Son version yesterday. The bits I listened to are great. -
Democracy Now! is running a great memorial for Zinn.

That may be true, but instead of bickering what Alito did with his head and his lips during the speech we should urge Congress to do the below.
-
I disagree with the Court's ruling, but calling Alito out on his head shake and mouthing the words "not true" is ridiculous. He doesn't agree with what the President said and that's pretty much it. By calling Alito out pretty much negates the whole premise of Obama's speech last night. It is a sideshow because some "pundit" created it.

I think it was in the Scorsese's documentary where Baez was pretty critical on Dylan and his involvement with the Civil Rights Movement (as well all the other 60s causes) during the 60s, after he became popular/electric. It would be kinda cool if she does a duet with him for this show. Can't see it happening, though.

Michelle Obama to host Civil Rights music night with Natalie Cole, Bob Dylan, Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, John Mellencamp, Smokey Robinson, Morgan Freeman and Queen Latifah This should be interesting. I'm glad Dylan is involved. Looking forward to the rest of the lineup, too.

Did the people of MA think the world was going to end when that socialist Romney signed the bill? -

Also I'm curious to know if the people of MA voted for health care (a referendum) or did it happen on the floor at the state Senate/House? -
Yep, that's it. I think I saw the clips on a link that you posted a while back.

I think in the early 80's they shared a bill, too. I seem to remember a European show where Townshend sat in on Miracle and Not Fade Away (not sure on the songs.) I remember it being not too good, though.

In 89, The Who played a day or two after the Grateful Dead at Alpine. I remember hearing people whose car was stuck in the mud say that they might just stick around for The Who.

My first show. Hell of day. Rain and a bit chilly. I was 16 at the time and the only other concert I have been to was John Mellencamp concert, so when I got up to Alpine and saw all the deadheads at the end of wet three day run (and end of the tour) it was a bit of an eye opener. It was a great show.
