  1. The set list stayed pretty much the same all tour, so I am sure it will be the same.
  2. A member of Dylan's current band or a member of the Band (Robertson, etc.) - that's kind of messed up. Do they sell the shows through a legitimate record company to the public or as a bootleg?
  3. Plus I wonder if the taper will get some type of compensation or at least get credit on the liner notes. Hoping to read about how Sony/Columbia acquired the tapes, too, in the liner notes. Perhaps a collector sold the masters to them. I am sure the back story is out there already - I just don't know it. Of course, maybe Sony/Columbia just downloaded the audience recordings off of Dime. I don't think I heard an audience recording of any of the 66 shows - the only ones I have are sbd's.
  4. Well I ordered the Live 66 box --- $108, not too bad. I haven't bought any Dylan archival releases in a while - thanks to my library system. Don't think the library is going to spring for this, though.
  5. Interesting that they are releasing audience recordings, too. Since I am sucker for live recordings and if the price is reasonable, I will probably get this. So for it is only up in the UK. (info from the Hoffman board)
  6. That should read 3/17/06 After reading your post, I was thinking to myself how did I miss hearing about a 2016 Ratdog tour...
  7. My wife and friend saw the Femmes back in July in Chicago - they both enjoyed it quite a bit. Neither of seen them since the early 90's and thought they still put a great show, though they were not familiar anything post 92 or so. It was a benefit show for Coalition for the Homeless.
  8. His Arnold Palmer drink happen to make it on the Simpsons season premier last night, too.
  9. Seems like Let it Grow is extremely fast on the 9.23.82 show - a ripping version. Maybe, that's typical for 82. Very peppy version of Touch of Grey, too.
  10. I listened to this one again this morning -- one of my favorites.
  11. I always preferred the studio version of We Can Run -- actually I prefer all the studio cuts of Brent's Built to Last tunes to the live versions. Just A Little Light was okay live.
  12. This one may be the best yet. http://www.newyorker.com/humor/borowitz-report/emotional-obama-tearfully-thanks-trump-for-granting-him-citizenship
  13. The Jazz Record Mart in Chicago has closed and reopened quite a few times over the years - due to raising rents and such.
  14. Nice article, too. Sadly, "Purple Rain" is starting to set up camp with "Hey Jude" - another tune I don't need to ever hear performed live again. I do like Yoakam's version, because he doesn't go on and on and on and on with the outro refrain.
  15. Can we just start a new thread for this anthem business? The U.S. Constitution covered this. Hoping that Senator Clinton gets well soon and gets right back in there and speaks to the people on how she will try to encourage a political/social/economical climate where we all will prosper (as much as possible) and be safe. She needs not to speak of the Trump name, until the debates; including the commercials - fuck him and everyone against her; she really needs to start reaching out to people who are leaning towards her. She has been focusing too much on Trump and not reaching out more to th
  16. I was going to mention the same thing -- all that money the NFL makes and we (taxpayers) have to pay for them for this -- pretty crazy.
  17. That great --- I have a few JGB tapes at work that I throw in every now and then - mostly Archive.org, Dylanradio, XM, or Spotify at work.
  18. Nels is currently on Fresh Air - at least on WBEZ.com
  19. Maybe, Trump can release his returns at a Clinton presser -- a kill two birds with one stone kind of thing.
  20. Guess, I need to listen to that version, then -- I skipped it yesterday.
  21. Must of heard the number 274 about 274 times today.
  22. I always loved the original. The above was pretty interesting, too.
  23. Today, i got the below email from Ticketmaster -- didn't expect or know about it. That's cool.
  24. Great interview with Nels. http://www.popmatters.com/feature/i-had-to-step-up-my-game-an-interview-with-nels-cline-of-wilco/
