  1. Guess, I need to listen to that version, then -- I skipped it yesterday.
  2. Must of heard the number 274 about 274 times today.
  3. I always loved the original. The above was pretty interesting, too.
  4. Today, i got the below email from Ticketmaster -- didn't expect or know about it. That's cool.
  5. Great interview with Nels. http://www.popmatters.com/feature/i-had-to-step-up-my-game-an-interview-with-nels-cline-of-wilco/
  6. Did you (or anyone) ever see a show at the Wetlands. Watch a documentary on the place earlier this year and it looked like it would have been a cool place to see a show.
  7. Plus, Trey did that whole Surrender to the Air record
  8. Just pulled a ticket to see Weir at the Chicago Theater. Should be interesting to see him perform with the National guys - not really familiar with them at all, though I did see them play at a Lolla - I think.
  9. Yeah - they started to cover the Grateful Dead and now Tupelo - they must be running out of 'cool' bands.
  10. Happen to come across the below in a Son Volt forum. http://pitchfork.com/thepitch/1238-7-times-uncle-tupelo-predicted-this-political-mess-were-in/ I am not Twitter, but I guess Tweedy's response was the below.
  11. California Stars - great banjo - great feed tonight.
  12. My kid asked why he keeps saying "Number 9" - I was going to fast forward it, but he said no.
  13. I have always been a sucker for "positively unemployed".
  14. Maybe it's the hair and the beard -- though I was just thinking yesterday that he actually looks good for his age and his lifestyle. He had those issues a couple years back - so I am not all sure how 'clean' he actually was up to recently. I think he is still sounds great and plays great, too -- sure the tempo's bug me a bit - but he played great last month when I saw him at Alpine. (Loved watching Sparky in the dugout and field, man, he was great.)
  15. Weir stopped by XM studio with Gary Lambert to talk about his upcoming "Campfire" tour - wish it was passing through Chicago - anyway Lambert has always been talking up Wilco over years. Sorry for the big pic.
  16. I read Jarnow's book and don't remember him mentioning the internet crashing on 8/9/95 -- though that doesn't mean it was not in the book. Really interesting and informative book, but his writing bugged me.
  17. I didn't even have access to the internet in 95, unless I went to a library. Of course, in '95 I was still living at my p's house (I was on college summer break) - they still don't have internet.
  18. If it was any other year - I may have issues voting for Clinton. As long as she isn't in the pokey or indicted, she will get my vote. I can't take a chance to vote for a third party, because a third party doesn't have a chance of winning - unfortunately it is between Trump and Clinton. I don't think Clinton has done any illegal -- unethical, definitively. And she definitely has used poor judgement when comes to the whole server thing.
  19. Is it a Garcia tie, at least? I have a couple of his ties - Looks like they are on sale at Kohl's --- cashing in on his death, I guess. Man the one's on sale are pretty ugly.
  20. Yeah - my wife told me that yesterday or the day before and honestly all I could do was chuckle and shake my head... Nice swim relay last night - pretty exiting.
  21. Noticed that they are playing at Constellation (Chicago) on August 13th - interesting venue choice - it's mostly Jazz club.
