"Rocks Off" off of Exile springs to mind.

We always found that Triple Paste® worked well with our two kids.

I always enjoyed the caucus process - up until this whole coin toss business. There's got to be another way -- perhaps they have to lock the doors until someone comes out a clear winner -- that's the point of a caucus -- persuasion, right? An outcome shouldn't come down to luck of a coin flip. Who gets to call the coin toss? If there is 5 delegates -- and the caucus comes out as a tie - can't each get 2 1/2, rather than 3 and 2? Tally up all the 1/2s' at the end of the overall State of Iowa results and you have a winner. I suppose it can still end up a tie - state wide, though. At this

That's a crazy way to do things ---- can't they just call it a tie and move on?

I thought it was funny as hell, too -- tuned in late - right when the two were in the cemetery and the English fellow started to tell his story -- that was a nice piece of writing.

Yeah - just did a google search and I definitely remember her being on MTV -- guess I just never realized who were parents were.

Didn't realize that he and Grace had kid together.

Just finally gotten around to watch that Live at the Family Dog DVD from 1970 a couple of days ago --- after I watched it, my biggest take out of the film was Kanter's performance throughout it - his guitar playing and demeanor -- I though it was great.

Maybe Stewart will drop in, too.

I have participated in Vines on the Hittin' - the whole old school idea is fine, I guess --- can't see why they can't do both, though. I am sure the Moogis part has a lot to do with it, too - I think that is pretty much dead, though. I know you can still buy shows through the ABB site or nugs - but again so does Gov't Mule, not sure if the Trucks' band sells their shows afterwards - and those sbd. shows would be banned on the legit torrents sites anyway. You can't 'Vine' soundboards that were officially purchased either on the Hittin' site.

Below is Derek sitting in with Phish on 7/7/99 (less than a month after the ABB Deer Creek show) during the encore songs (Possum and Funky Bitch) - definitely wasn't tentative here. http://phish.in/1999-07-07 Found the below review of the show from a Phish board.

Guessing it's either a Gregg or Butch (or I guess management) decision --- obviously Trucks and Haynes are fine with torrents.

I saw Derek on his first summer tour with the Allman Brothers Band at Deer Creek - looking over at Hittin' the Web, I see it was his 6th show with the band -- I remember thinking that night he was very tentative in his playing, which makes sense, since he was very young and he's up there playing in the Allman Brothers Band -- after seeing him numerous times since, it's amazing (though I'm not surprised) how much he has evolved into one of the all time best. The other thing I remember was that there was a teenager, with a Slayer shirt on, sitting in front us with his hippie parents. The kid s

Yeah I caught about half of each episode -- fell asleep during the 1st one and didn't realize the next one was airing on Monday and caught the last 20 minutes or so -- I figured all would be on Sunday. Anyway pretty much a retread of the show -- nothing evolved too much. Guess Mulder has or had a kid -- still not sure if Scully is the mother, though. (might have missed it, though). Probably will give it another shot, if I remember that it is on. I noticed that on my TV guide on my TV labeled Monday's episode as Season 10 - Episode 2. I like that it has the same theme music, too.

The Twilight Sad are opening for them in Chicago, too ---- hopefully it will be one of those long shows, but there always seems to be a stupid 11 pm curfew at most of the venues in Chicago and it's a 7:30 start. I enjoyed watching and hearing Reeves play at Lollapalooza -- I didn't realize was in the band at the time, so I was surprised to see him on stage. At times I thought he overplayed a bit -- but it was decent.

Seeing them in Chicago -- looking forward to it. Only saw them at a Lolla a few years back --- great show, but I am looking forward to seeing them indoors in a somewhat small place (UIC Pavilion). I think they are having an opener, so I am guessing it is not going to be a 3 1/3 hour show this time around - but could be wrong about that.

Spotted that, too. That reminds me that I owe you (NoJ) and her a copy of a Cream bootleg. It was discussed way back when Jack Bruce died. I did try to burn a cd, but I haven't done it in so long - I forgot how to do it and I gave up. Guess I need try it again. It was fun hearing that Garcia/Studs interview.

That was great ---- "Fuck you, Captain Tom" - HA! Nice bit by Bowie too - "I thought that went rather nicely!'”

Dave's Pick 18 should be like the below: I am fine with the pick. I don't listen to 76 all that often, though - but I have heard this show before.

I have tried both the Habanero & the Grapefruit Sculpin on tap before -- neither was was all that great. Do enjoy the typical Sculpin, though - but agree, it's too pricey. Purchased a six pack of Smuttynose Finestkind IPA over the Christmas holiday - had a couple - it's enjoyable. Also picked up a six pack of Resurrected (IPA) by 4 Hand Brewing (out of Missouri) - had a couple and wasn't too impressed.

Nice write up --- only have a few Jimmy Giuffre's cds that Bley is on, but none of his cd's where he is the leader. Did catch one of those Cline/Parker/McBride/ Rosaly "Turning Point" shows, though.

When both the owls were in the back yard, they were communicating a lot to one another, after one flew off, the one left wasn't 'hoo-hooing' any longer -- so my kids tried out their owl calls and weren't successful. Definitely looked like a male and female -- at least one was larger than the other.
-
At dusk, I finally saw the two owls that have been hanging out in my back yard for last year or so - they're huge. Usually we hear them much later at night when it's too dark and the trees too high for me to ever spot them. Kids were able to see them too.

Yeah - sorry NoJ. Brutal way to go out...for all involved.
