  1. I think that interview was in the Frets magazine. Lots of white stuff on that shirt -- very sad -- but you are right, great interview and he sounds chipper.
  2. Maybe in CO everyone can bring a smoke, sit around and talk about the candidates . At the end of the meeting hopefully everyone remembers who they were going to vote for and sits in the respective candidates' areas. (I really have no idea how caucuses work)
  3. Has anyone seen a show at Phil's club? It looks nice -- bet is sounds great, too.
  4. Don't forget the Billy Joel channel that is running now -- I think it's still running at least. Since the Dead has such a live library available, their deadicated channel is okay -- I have listened to some of the concerts that Buffet, Springsteen and Pearl Jam channels put on and their archive is not nearly a wide and the quality of the recordings are not that great, often times. Haven't heard of the Bloody Roots show - need to check it out. Steve Earle's show is pretty good - plus Elizabeth Cook (Apron Springs) is always a hoot to listened to.
  5. Yeah - Petty's show is still running - not sure if they are repeats or not though. I have listened to some of Oldham's shows - he kinda of bugs me, though -- does have great stories, though. Not sure if his show is still running, though. Now that my kids are getting older we listen to Kid's Place Live alot -- must admit it's kinda entertaining. They do play Phish and They Might be Giants, etc songs (the funny-type songs).
  6. Yeah - XM is okay for the car (though I have to changed a channel because a particular song sounds so bad) and the office -- I don't listen to it when I am at home. I am sure Tinnitus only has it for the Dead channel.... Also, I can't say Richard Thompson's music has moved me much -- at least the stuff I heard. I haven't given Fairport much of a chance, though. I heard the Tweedy produced one via Spotify - it was ok, but it didn't make me run out to get the record. I did spot a copy at my library, though.
  7. I don't remember ever seeing screens. It's not a bad experience -- the sound is typically pretty good in the lawn. Of course we usually sit out there during a free show. The Jay Pritzker Pavilion show in 2007 was fun --and I was in the front part of the lawn for that.
  8. That is correct, one can't see the stage, unless they are at the very front.
  9. I think it was officially billed as the below - so they could get around inviting Vince --- which is still shitty - but I guess that's music business...
  10. Yeah - that was was pretty harsh not inviting him. Yesterday would have been his birthday. I remember hearing an interview with the band prior to the reunion shows and Mickey Hart being kind of flippant about it saying something like Vinnie playing with them 'wasn't in the cards' or something like that.
  11. Heading up to the Saturday Alpine Dead & Company show this summer. Going with my wife and another couple - the other couple happens to be the sister and brother-in-law of a great friend of ours who was killed in a motorcycle wreck about 13 years ago -- never met them prior to his passing, but we became great friends with them after they had to come up to the Chicago to claim his body - it's kinda neat that we are heading up there with them, just like my wife and I use to head up there with our friend all those times --- all that time ago. Looking forward to it. The last time I was at Al
  12. Trump's outright hatred of Jeb Bush has been interesting --- I am assuming that there was some past business thing that went sour between the two -- Trump has been outright brutal toward the Bush's.
  13. Yeah Spotify is great for the OOP stuff, escpecially since lots of the stuff is going for a high price. I take more advantage of the Phish stuff that is on Spotify - mostly because I don't have many Phish releases.
  14. That looks great -- haven't been to the Hideout in a long while.
  15. I usually have Dahl on my kitchen radio during the week and I sometimes forget to turn him off a 6pm. He definitely is an interesting fellow.
  16. I haven't listened to the Bonnie/Tortoise cd in a long while -- that version of Thunder Road is a great one.
  17. Not to mention that President Obama was elected BY THE AMERICAN PEOPLE (twice) - that' why his statement makes zero sense. Are the American voices who voted for President Obama null and void now? Last time I check each President serves 4 years - I guess the American voices who voted for President Obama only can be heard for about 3 years and about a month or so...
  18. It's going to be crap show with the Senate. The statement by Senator McConnell makes zero sense.
  19. I don't think I ever heard the 10/25/79 2nd set, before tonight -- at least it wasn't on my hard drive nor do I have the tape. Downloaded it off of entree - Up to Estimated --- very, very great stuff. It's kinda amazing how fast Brent fit in. Stella Blue is pretty perfect, too - same with Passenger.
  20. Didn't realize that McMurtry wrote so many books based on the Duane character -- I think I read Duane's Depressed, too, but I am not sure.
  21. Usually Healy bugs me with that stuff - but I thought it sounded pretty cool in this show. The show is a bit of a mess, but fun. The Bird Song-> The Music Never Stopped-> Might As Well was pretty decent, too -- but Jerry's voice was pretty much gone by Might as Well. I don't think I ever listened to the show before. 86 is one of those years that I don't visit often.
  22. Listening to 2.11.86 -- crazy intro into Truckin. https://archive.org/details/gd1986-02-11.mtx.seamons.117798.flac24
