  1. Ugh - Trump. Though if he can throw better than Danks, have the dude pitch. I was watching Pearl Jam's Touring Band DVD yesterday and Vedder was sporting a White Sox cap at one point - i was kinda surprised, though the White Sox were great in 2000, which is when the DVD was shot.
  2. Susan B. Anthony has already been US Currency.
  3. From Politico: (Doesn't seem like a very strong ticket to me - but I am not a Republican)
  4. Love the umpire's reaction in the below video. Glad it did not knock Sale in the face.... Man, Sale and Latos are off to a great start. The league may start to figure Latos out, but I think Sale will be different story. Obviously it's early, but it's shaping up that Chicago will own both Cy Young Awards. http://m.mlb.com/cws/video/topic/47150548/v632074583/cwstor-navarro-almost-hits-sale-tossing-ball-back/?c_id=cws
  5. And who can forget this lady from 2008. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VeGPzk8Oca8
  6. Ah fuck - I forgot about that show. Did they get a good crowd at the Hideout.
  7. Yeah - I know, it's one of my favorites, though. Maybe, because other than the title track, the only time one is going to hear the other tunes is if you listen to the record. I love Pete's guitar playing on it - Roger sounds great. The lyrics, throughout, are far from great. Moon is a shadow. Entwistle is not much of a factor, either. Still a great album.
  8. Never tire of the Who Are You record - esp. on a great Spring-weathered Sunday afternoon, with a glass of wine.
  9. Nils definitely ripped on that solo. Good stuff.
  10. Sure, horrible base-running - but last year the White Sox would have managed to blow the play, somehow. And Farmer is great.
  11. It's fun being a Chicago baseball fan now-a-days. Last year the White Sox would have been lucky to get one out... "That was fire drill - the house was ablaze and now it's no longer burning" - Ed Farmer - White Sox radio guy - perfect. http://m.mlb.com/cws...-play/?c_id=cws Go White Sox!
  12. http://www.thecurrent.org/listen KCMP, 89.3 The Current, Minnesota Public Radio is putting on a nice tribute, currently.
  13. I believe, Ronnie Wood finally became a full fledged member around 94 or so.
  14. Granted it was a crappy you-tube clip, but I thought Axl sounded alright at Coachella, while Angus was stage.
  15. Ours is still going strong - other wise I might be interested. Maybe you can bundle it up with with the Weezer disc?
  16. I guess one can throw in Hitler and cancer, too.
  17. Nothing worst than a bad drummer. Listened to Chinese Democracy for the 1st time yesterday - not too bad. A little more pop than I expected or maybe more modern. A lot of effects on Rose's vocals, it seemed.
  18. No, no it wasn't. The Parks one came out at the time my first born was born -- so I was beat tired every time it aired - perhaps I need to revisit it. Just checked, my son was 3 weeks old when it aired originally. We are finally taking him and my youngest out to CO in June to camp at Rocky National Park .
  19. I thought the one National Parks was a bit boring (and I love National Parks). The Jazz one was a bit lacking, from what I remember, too. But yeah - typically they are always interesting, well done and mostly entertaining.
  20. Ran into Leroy Bach at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago during a free family day event - he was participating in a musical event.
  21. Did Miller perform at all? I guess he was the one being inducted -- not his band. If his current band members want to play with him on stage - I guess, maybe, they have to cough up the dough. Maybe that's why it's always an "all-star" band lot's of time. The "all-stars" don't have to pay, but the actual band members who have been playing, for instance with Miller, for years and years, have to pay to get in and play. Whatever. Just read that he did play -- guessing the Keys back him up. Guess I should read before I post - looked like he did play his band. http://ultimateclassicrock.
  22. 'Nice' words by Steve Miller. http://mobile.nytimes.com/2016/04/09/arts/music/after-his-induction-steve-miller-rips-rock-and-roll-hall-of-fame.html?smprod=nytcore-ipad&smid=nytcore-ipad-share&_r=2&referer=http://m.q1043.com/onair/jonathan-jc-clarke-1368/whoagh-steve-miller-gets-inducted-into-14586487/ It is good that Bun played with him - I read that Daxx Nielsen said he would have felt weird playing and being up there while Bun was on stage - he used an ex-wife and new girlfriend in the same room analogy.
