Which was odd, since Bush stopped drinking by 2000.

The whole White Sox thing is stupid and frustrating. Williams has always been a bit a dick, but this thing has gotten so blown out of proportion on all the angles (players and the upper mangement ). Ventura (Manager) and Hahn (GM) are the ones who have to get all back on track -- luckily the team has always been behind Ventura and I haven't heard one player say anything negative about Ventura. Again, though, I am glad LaRoche is gone. The rest of the team has to man up and play. Go White Sox!

Yeah - I was never much a fan of Keller ---my kids don't even like his Mama Tooted tune and they love everything that deals with farts....

Not sure if ever listened to this Red Rocks show -- will check to see if I have it when I get home. Thx - looks great. Never saw so many reviews on the Archive for a Ratdog show, before. Did you make it to this Red Rock show, Lammy? Speaking of the Archive -- still can't get use to the new look/format - still like the older version better -- up to last week or so there was a TAB that took one back to the old format, but it's gone go for good, now.

I saw Ratdog - with Kimock - play a great version of Days Between a few years back. Since Ratdog likes to slow things down - the tune is a nice fit for them. Weir sang the hell of it. Who sang lead on last night's version at the Q show - please don't say Phil, please don't say Phil, please don't say Phil...

Yeah, I have to get another copy of Hundred Year Hall.
-
I have the Hundred Year Hall cd, but it is all ding up and doesn't play that well, so I have not listened to that release in a long while. I listen to the complete show via the box set - but I think I read that the Hundred Year Hall release is a different and perhaps better mix

That's the White Sox for you - a head office/management/player dust up - that's all they are talking about here in Chicago. Have to admit, I do hope LaRoche sticks with retiring. The Sox can do a lot with the $13 million... Go White Sox!

Looking most forward to the below: Franklin’s Tower • Orchestra Baobab Clementine Jam • Orchestra Baobab King Solomon’s Marbles • Vijay Iyer The whole thing should be a fun listen.

I'll let you know how the Mountain' Dylan cover record is -- my library system has two Mountain releases in it -- the Dylan one happens to be one of them.

Garland knows what he is getting himself into. I just wish McConnell would come up with a different refrain - it has nothing to do with the American voices - it's just the exact opposite, he doesn't care what the American voices have to say. Just say that. It's all coming to a head now - the past 20 years or so of the built up resentment between the two parties. Hopefully, after this year's election, it all boils over and not too many people on this earth gets scolded and we get back to normalcy, where we always disagreed, but things moved along, always slowly, but at least it moved along.

I am now listening to DylandRadio.com and version of Master of War by Mountain (Featuring Ozzy Osbourne) just came on -- not bad, actually. Mountain released the below - I never heard of the record before.

Which girl/video are you talking about? That 78 set does look nice -- probably will pass, though.

Until today I never listened to Hawkwind, actually I never heard of them prior to Lemmy's death -- I was always assuming it was a heavy metal/hard rock band -- boy was I wrong. Listened to Doremi Fasol Latido and their first one "Hawkwind". Pretty good stuff.

I don't think we should discourage this: http://www.politico.com/magazine/story/2016/03/donald-trump-chicago-protest-213728

Yeah - this show, the Touch is much better than the West L.A. -- great way to open up the 2nd set. The Throwing Stones was a wreck - god love 'em. Great show, thus far.

The Fillmore and the Brothers both sound great - hoping the Idlewild does too. I bought the blu-ray of the Fillmore and the HD files of the Brothers and Sisters set. I don't usually buy HD track files, but it was much cheaper do so - it does sound good. Disc 3 and 4 is the September 26, 1973 show from Winterland -- I don't have much live stuff from this era, so it nice to listen to.

I guess I always thought Duane's death caused the aftermath excesses, esp Oakley's --- but they all were all pretty f'd up before his death. Duane, if he didn't die, probably would have joined in with the mess eventually - though Butch said he was good at quitting stuff if it got out of hand...who knows. Just glad that the Allman Brothers continued on after he died. Listened to the Brothers and Sisters box set last night.
-
Yeah - I read that book, too --- I read the Skydog book first, so i already knew what Duane was "like" --- still though, it always surprises me reading such stories about him. Which is weird - because I expect to read such things about musicians, but I guess just not about him.
-
I forgot how I came upon it -- I think i typed in the Allman Brothers and hit Prime button and it was the 1st one posted. Reading the Rolling Stone interview with Butch brought up the whole drug thing and Duane again -- for some reason, prior to reading the Skydog - I never figured him being into such things - don't know why I figured that - I knew about all the band's excesses after he died.

see if the below works http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01B7AQQKY?keywords=allman%20brothers&qid=1457828402&ref_=sr_1_3&refinements=p_85%3A2470955011&rps=1&s=music&sr=1-3

Amazon has the Live from A&R Studios for $12.98 -- seems like decent enough of price, just pre-ordered it. I thought I had boot copy of this on my hard drive, but I don't.

Can't resist. Lucky Man Homer https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m8Kjz51rHw0 Always enjoyed Lucky Man. Just read that Lake wrote the tune when he 12 - that's pretty cool.

Trump had a rally at UIC --- pretty much in the heart of downtown Chicago. Does anybody really think Trump didn't see this protest coming? (and was hoping for it) Perfect coverage for his campaign --- he had the entire evening to personally talk to every national cable news outlet. Bravo!
