Plus FOX lost the feed last night (power outage to their truck) --- glad they had emergency back-up plan in place, jeez. The whole thing was poorly handled. They threw it back to the three people back in the studio - and they seemed like deer caught in headlights. Good game last night -- couldn't make it past the 9th. Hopefully the Mets rebound.

I would go to if one could swing it, too -- all the floor seats for the St. Louis show are sold out -- I entered 'best available' for two and two in a pretty good section popped up, though they were pretty far back , row wise - but I am guessing there is still plenty of seats available. We bought the cheapest seats -- guess we have a chance to find some closer seats while we are there. I am looking forward to the show.

Great shots -- didn't realize Hessels played a 5 string guitar. I saw Vandermark and Hessels play an art gallery/exhibit opening once- they just played on a floor (no stage) and Hessels ran into me as he was playing - pretty wild, interesting player.
-
They just played Chicago - of course I didn't go --- if you are shooting, I wouldn't mind seeing some pics.

Tonight I happen to be listening to Neil's show from Santa Barbara, CA - October 10, 2015 - it does sound pretty good - great tape. I can't say he washed up from a live/concert stand point. Still can't into MMJ, though - after a few attempts.

F KC (whom I assume will finish off Toronto) -- Go Mets! Disappointed in the Cubs -- watching the series as White Sox fan was a bit weird -- I found myself laughing at the Cubs during the Mets series - then I always caught myself thinking 'No wait - I am rooting for the Cubs to win.' The Mets played perfect baseball.

That lick through out the song reminds me of the lick though out Guthrie/Wilco's Hoodoo Voodoo. Never was much of Cars fan - but that is great tune.

I am in the same boat - but I have a Roku hooked up to my TV, so I spent $20 for Sling (internet TV channel) so I get TBS for a month to watch the NL playoffs. Also get ESPN and ESPN2 with the package - it's been fun watching more college football. (Still have no desire to get cable, though, nor do I miss it.)

A while ago, 'Sitting on Top of the World' was being discussed, XM just played the below segment on the 'Today in GD History' show (10.21.71 - Chicago's Auditorium Theatre). Keith really shines throughout. It's pretty amazing how much he fit in, right off the bat. Dark Star-> Sitting On Top Of The World-> Dark Star-> Me And Bobby McGee https://archive.org/details/gd1971-10-21.sbd.miller.112086.flac16

or Rush fans? the age-old debate...

That voodoonola person is something else - such nice, great uploads.

I go up to Stained Glass - then they start to get dicey for me.

Been listening to Sin after Sin and Sad Wings this morning -- that "Last Rose of Summer" is a good tune. Also, always liked their version of "Diamond and Rust", of course when I was in grade school and listening to these tapes, I never heard of Joan Baez and always thought Judas Priest wrote the tune.
-
Built to Last is a little cheesy for me - the tune tries to be earnest, but it doesn't work for me - both musically and lyrically. Push Come to Shove is a good one --- West LA is probably in my top 5 favorite songs of theirs.

Well he is going to have to start preparing, then.

Also, Sanders is going to have come up with a solid/coherent answer regarding his gun stance, too -- he seemed totally surprised/flabbergasted, when this discussion came up -- he must have known that the issue was going to come up and if he didn't know, he needs to fire the person who was in charge to get him ready for the debate. I fully understand his stance - since he is from Vermont - he just needs to explain it much better and not be so defensive.

I always thought Picasso Moon was alright, same with Eternity. I can do with out rest, though.

We had three different ones topping each of the categories on our voting form --- I think the Republicans need to hold a hearing, for sure.

How did you chili do in the chili cook off - NoJ? We left before the results were given.

Compared to 8 years ago - Clinton did much better this time around. Sanders did come off a little like the "I am mad as hell" character -- i did think it was genuine, but he might want to tone it down a bit. I am sure his base loved his performance, though - those who are not fully convince by him, maybe not so much. Right now I an edging towards his camp, though. and yeah - Chafee and Webb were pretty awful.
-
Yeah - nor have I. I never go into a Dead related show, evening thinking I am going to an actual Grateful Dead show or anything like it -- even the FTW shows - it doesn't even make sense that one would think that. NP the below show - forgot that Kimock filled in for Karan for a bit when Mark was dealing with his cancer. Good show. https://archive.org/details/rd2007-11-08.adkA51TL.flac

Speaking of Trey and the Fare Thee Well shows - great discussion below from the New York Festival. http://blog.phish.net/1444067800/trey-anastasio-new-yorker-festival-interview

another thing about Maiden - recently checked out below -- it had to be the worst book on music ever - cut and paste job from various interviews, at least the author cited properly. I didn't bother to read any past 7th Son. At least it took me only about a 1/2 hour.
-
That's the time period when I was getting into them --- my aunt bought me Powerslave on cassette for Christmas.

Finally going to see Iron Maiden live -- got general admission floor tickets, too - at the United Center - should be a hoot. forgot: UP THE IRONS!!!!!!!
