Great idea. Jeff with Glenn on drums, or Nels on dobro, is always a treat. I was watching this performance earlier and noticed how great Jeff and John sound together when they're both on guitar and John's singing harmony. What about them going through some classic Wilco tunes together? For two guys who've been playing together since like 1993, they haven't collaborated much just the two of them.

I'll never say no to more music but I think the brevity of Wilco's recent releases has worked well for Star Wars and Schmilco. Because they're on single LPs they're easier to listen to, which means they get spun more than say Sukierae or The Whole Love. So I'm glad to see Together At Last follow this new pattern, especially since the subtitle is "Loft Acoustic Sessions 1" I'm sure there's more in the can or plans for more studio sessions.

Pre-ordered the vinyl, I think this will be my 5th copy of Sgt. Peppers?? The original 80s CD, the mid-2000s CD reissue, an old Canadian vinyl pressing and the mono LP repress from a few years ago.... Yikes. You might think I love Sgt. Peppers but there's a handful of songs I don't like... Fixing A Hole, She's Leaving Home, and Being For Benefit of Mr. Kite. I love the rest though. I do wish the LPs came with the DVD. I watched an old VHS copy of the documentary (if it's the same one I'm thinking of) in 2006ish and I recall it being quite good. They go through the tapes and isolate channels.

So I received my copy of Triplicate today.... You know, like the previous two, it's not terrible. The arrangements of these songs are topnotch, the pedal steel is a really good fit. Bob's voice is pretty strong for 21st century Bob. But it's a collection of songs I have no connection with. Not only that, but it's essentially three albums of this, and the songs sort of sound the same. It's the same time signature, slow tempo, and crooning. There is some horns in the arrangements, which I don't think the other ones had, so there's that. I'll be seeing Bob for the first time (!!!!) this July,

Yeah I actually couldn't think of a better young person slang I'm familiar with. I guess I'm no longer "with it". To get things back on topic, if we're talking about musician as in a skilled performer, I'd nominate George Harrison as my favourite, mainly from his post-Beatles work. There's not a lot of other lead guitarists I can pick out of a song 100% of the time.

I'm not going to lie, at this point hearing NY is sick makes me pretty nervous. Especially sick to the point where they know he still won't be feeling better in a few days. Hopefully he's OK.

I collect (and listen to) records. I play a fair amount of video games, it's the ultimate combination of music, art, storytelling, music, and exploration.... also maybe the only combination of all those things. I also watch a lot of Netflix, is that a hobby? I guess not. My main hobby though is trying to make my wife laugh, one day I will be successful.

My heart says Dylan. My Canadianness says Neil Young though. But if I had to just pick one, it would be Bob, I think he's released significantly more great music.

New Fleet Foxes album announced, Crack-Up. Coming out June 16! I saw Robin Pecknold solo last year, he played some new songs that (I'm assuming) are from the new album, they were really great!

Agreed with Charlie. Anodyne is close to Yankee Hotel Foxtrot for my favourite Tweedy-related release. Every song on that album is great.
