My dad took pretty good care of his records, except for his copy of Born In The USA, which as a big scratch in the middle (which is fine, I'm not a huge fan of The Boss). There are two stashes, I've found one but the other one is hidden somewhere in the house, that's the one I really want, with his Beatle collection. One day... one day. He was a big Dead Head so I got pretty much all early Dead albums, including my personal favorite, American Beauty. I also found The Bands' Rock of Ages. I got a whole bunch of Clapton records and I think all of Hendrix's records. The only record of his that I

Cuomo Demos to Include Songs from "Songs From The Black Hole"
TCP replied to bsr8j's topic in Someone Else's Song
Yeah there were a few other songs from SFTBH. "You Won't Get With Me Tonight" was pretty rocking. "Oh No This is Not For Me" was fun. "Come To My Pod" was pretty bad, I recall. -
This is kind of embarrassing, I'm a pretty audio savvy dude (just finished two years of school, woot woot) but I just got my first record player this Christmas. I have some questions regarding the records. Will it hurt the record to just drop the needle in the middle of the record (in case I only want to listen to one particular song)? What about handling the actual record... should I avoid getting my fingers on it like the bottom of a CD? Is there any way to clean records? I raided my dad's old collection but some of this stuff probably hasn't been listened to since he was my age (1970!!). Th

Yeah just send the L-R of the Fostex into input 1 and 2 of the mbox, I see no reason why it would not work. Hmmm does the Fostex have S/PIDF outputs?

I don't know!! I saw The Rentals perform it with Rachel Haden on lead vocals and Matt on bass... it was a terrific moment. -

IMHO Seven More Minutes is a great record (probably the best to come out of the Weezer camp) as are all the records Matt has done (Weezer + The Rentals + solo) minus the new Rentals EP. -
I really love the song "Long, Long, Long".... in my opinion it's probably one of the most underrated songs in the Beatles catalog. "Here Comes the Sun" is probably my all time favorite song, ever! "Blackbird" and "Day Tripper" are the songs that got me into The Beatles. "Tomorrow Never Knows" inspired me to get into the production side of music.

I've heard it a few times now, for the most part it's really good. However, I did find it a bit depressing, watching a songwriter slowly improve his craft, reach his peak, and then just fall apart. -
On my mac, when I move a folder that's in my iTunes library, iTunes automatically knows and redirects itself.

They HAVE to record the Winter Residency
TCP replied to Relatively Clean Rivers's topic in Just A Fan
Do they have each track recorded individually or do they just have the Left-Right Bus from the mixing board recorded? -
I also didn't download it but if it isn't "Here Comes The Sun" then it is not the best song of all time.

Looking to get d-man his first guitar
TCP replied to Sweet Papa Crimbo's topic in Someone Else's Song
I had a 3/4th acoustic guitar when I was a kid (Fred Penner was my idol) and I loved it. I didn't know any chords but that didn't matter. -
Sorry, I ain't got no waffles invites... yet! What's up with the non-search function on Waffles today??? Having the free leach but not being able to search is breaking my heart.

I got an Epiphone Les Paul on my 16th birthday (I'm 20 now) and I still play it and I still love it, it's a great guitar. The action has always been really low and I know for a fact that the lazy bastards I bought it off of did not readjust it. There's not fret buzz at all. It plays great and sounds great. I've never had any tuning issues at all. Maybe I just got lucky? I don't know! But I'd recommend one. -
putting together the timeline of the world's best band
TCP replied to mastershake's topic in Someone Else's Song
The Beatles were only the best band till 68? Have you even heard Abbey Road?! This list feels more like "the most popular band". -
Only really ever liked that one song they did, maybe I'll give 'em another spin sometime.
