  1. Bingo! Definitely a case of "we'll do whatever we goddamn please and if you don't like it, move out all you unpatriotic sunsabitches!" I really hope Obama wins this thing and when the Right starts moaning and whining we can just say "go somewhere else, you unpatriotic sunsabitches!"
  2. Exactly. The tempo was not rushed, it just swung like a sunsabitch. Some of those from the early Brent years (in particular) are so fast it's just crazy. Jerry's leads are unbelievably fast - I guess massive quantities of blow IS helpful, if just from a dexterity standpoint.
  3. It can be legitimately argued that the Eyes there is the best version ever done. There are plenty of fine versions post '74, but when I think of the killer Eyes I always think of '73-'74. When they discarded the 'Stronger Than Dirt' - type jam at the end it was a crying shame imo.
  4. This is why there are prenuptial agreements.

  6. The happiest of birthdays to you, fellow Hoosier! Keep on keepin' on!
  7. Thanks for posting up those pics of 10/13. You might have noticed how clear the air was in some of those pics. Very unusual.
  8. That's a great question, Moe. Can I call you Moe? Anyway, I'm idealistic to a fault so I have no business answering the question. We can only see the world as we see it. To see it as it actually is might be an extremely difficult task, individually speaking. Only by interacting and communicating with those of a diametrically opposite philosphical/political leaning can anything tangible or legitimate actually come to fruition. Just think about the neighborhoods the majority of us live in. Whether through circumstance, luck, hard work etc. we more and more surround ourselves with people
  9. I don't know. Hopefully so. I was watching it on teh CNN - with commentary afterwards by the esteemed Bill Maher.
  10. I thought this was a nice respite from the seriousness of the campaign trail. Both guys delivered some lines (both directed at the opponent and theirselves) that I thought were pretty funny. McCain's line directed at HRC regarding Bill campaigning for Barack was hilarious. In other news - McCain on Letterman tonight - very interesting. Dave was just not gonna let McCain off the hook and let John's natural charisma dominate the interview. I think John was a bit taken aback. Certainly this was not the usual 'puff piece' style of entertainment show interview. Well done, Dave.
  11. One can hope. Living where I do I'm not overly optimistic.
  12. I'll look around and see if I can find the "10,000 Bees" story. That's an odd one.
  13. Everybody say "Happy Birthday Bobby!" Hard to believe but the 'kid' is 61.
  14. I didn't go to the theatre to see Brooklyn but as I recall didn't they open that show with the timeless classic "Dinner & A Movie"? You gotta love those guys.
  15. I had not watched the vid before this post. Thanks for the link - that was a very decent exchange of opinions.
  16. Grateful Dead - Road Trips Vol. 1, No. 4 - October '78 Winterland - "From Egypt, With Love"
  17. High praise indeed Mr. Solace. Neil can do that to ya. I've seen NY a dozen times or so in the last 25 years and some of those are way high on my list as well.
  18. Yeah, what's up with that I wonder? Especially if they're AUDs. Do they do the 'instant live' SBD thing ala P&F? This was the first time I've caught the ABB since about '04. I have a pic around here somewhere with Jimmy and the boys backstage from that benefit show. Ahh, the good ol' daze.
  19. I hope so, old bean. I hope so. It sure was odd watching the split screen during the debate. McCain looked so damn stressed out it was hard not to spot it. He looked like he has come to the realization that his party is running the show not him, and he doesn't dig what this has all turned into. Just my perception here. Barack looked as unflappable as ever, smiling at McCain's remarks and his confidence was/is very reassuring.
  20. Lewis was on The Daily Show tonight. I like the dude - he appeals to my neurotic side I guess. But on TDS and Keith's show he was as cranked up as I've ever seen him. I thought his head was gonna explode or something.
  21. Yeah, you had me going there for a minute dude. But how did I know that's not you? Because I know GOD DAMNED WELL you would insist on the monkey head as part of your logo. Nice try though.
