  1. God forbid I ever have another kid, but if I do, and it's a boy, that s.o.b.'s name is gonna be T. Boone Pickens Leavell. Swear to God.
  2. The prevalent rumor at the time was the band had recently got iPods, and Trey's contained the entire Phish catalogue. He got the bug to play some of these forgotten gems, and the band rehearsed them on their day off before this show. Also, this silenced the nay-sayers who were bitching about the lack of bust-outs during that tour.
  3. No, really b2! I was also born on the day of the Immaculate Conception - I'm doubly blessed!
  4. Do middle names count? Mine is Christopher - in the finest Catholic tradition I was named after a saint.
  5. 7/29/03 - Star Lake, Burgettstown, PA I: Daniel Saw The Stone > Camel Walk, Gotta Jibboo, Cool It Down, Scent Of A Mule, Fee > Timber Ho!, When The Circus Comes, McGrupp, Golgi Apparatus II: Crosseyed And Painless > Thunderhead, Brother, Harpua > Bittersweet Motel > Harpua > Fooled Around And Fell In Love > HYHU > Harpua, David Bowie E: Farmhouse Five years ago today. I know you all have probably already heard the story behind this craaazy sick setlist. Is this not the best post-hiatus show? (I say yes) A good friend of mine went to this and I don't think his
  6. Bump! 99 days, kids. This thing is gonna be here before we know it.
  7. Thanks for that man. I just sprayed beer all over my computer screen.
  8. I dubbed The Compleat Beatles off the TV onto VHS many a year ago. A fascinating doc imo. We've discussed this before here, but "It Was Twenty Years Ago Today" is one of the best docs on Sgt. Pepper, 1967, and the '60s counterculture as a whole that I've ever seen. Really a must see.
  9. Remarkably, there's only 3 or 4 DPs from the '80s - a real shame imo. The '80-'85 period, at least, has many excellent shows. As far as it goes, you can't go wrong with #6 (a stellar, 30+ min. ScarFire, with Estimated > Eyes that follows - 60 minutes pre-drums!), and you simply have to hear the amazing He's Gone > Caution Jam > Spanish Jam from 5/6/81 (#13). Killer stuff. Hope this helps.
  10. We don't own this place, though we act as if we did It belongs to the children of our children's kids The actual owners haven't even been born yet But we never tend the garden and we rarely pay the rent Some of it is broken and the rest of it is bent Put it all on plastic and I wonder where we'll be when the bills hit (chorus) We can run But we can't hide from it Of all possible worlds We only got one We gotta ride on it Whatever we've done We'll never get far from what we leave behind Baby, we can run, run, run, but we can't hide Oh no, we can't hide I'm dumpin' my trash in your backy
  11. One Wing - "a 3 guitar psychedelic jam". Hmm...I wouldn't be innarested in hearing that!
  12. Are you and Brennan coming to the Indy show? ::digs out St. Christopher's Medallion::
  13. PT, brahseph. Phantasy Tour. The end all and be all of mean spirited band related message boards. There's also a great deal of true music freaks of all genres, and the occaisonal well thought out political discussion.
  14. Bless you sir. You're absolutely correct - I guess this just another glaring example of the American Public Educational System having serious cracks in its foundation. God, I'm so embarrassed. ::hangs head in humiliation::
  15. Moe, I know you know that Junta is #1 and Undermind is dead last. The same applies here. Trust me man. You can trust me.
  16. Heat stroke is a terrible thing. I'm sorry if it has made you delusional. I'm fairly certain that if Mr. Ken Kesey were still alive he'd agree with me. AM BT ST YHF AGIB SBS Interpret this any way you want. It's still a free country.
  17. Kim Gordon - I think you must have got some beach water in your ears. There could be some damage to the eustachian tube or possibly the tympanic membrane. Go see your doctor quick, because the answer is obviously: AM BT ST YHF AGIB SBS
  18. Dude, that Monty is one awesome lookin' hound. All the best to you.
  19. I concur with the young lady here.
  20. I watched this tonight and both my wife and I were impressed. It's easy to see (and hear) that you guys have been influenced by really good music. Well done! Thanks for sending this my way Ben. Mucho Garcias.
  21. Fly, Fly. Damn. I'm jealous. Deepsea turned me onto that tune awhile back and JEESH...just insane.
  22. #1: I didn't know Mariah Carey was your girl. #2: She's really let herself go man. Sorry.
