  1. I picked up a best of album on vinyl a while aback which I really dig. When I was listening to Sunny Afternoon, I could imagine Wilco covering it.
  2. 1.Harness Your Hopes-Pavement 2.Lay Low (live)-My Morning Jacket 3.My Gun (CD version)-The M's 4.Turn The Beat Around-Gerald Jackson & Vickie Sue Robinson 5.Laid-James 6.A Hazy Shade of Winter-Simon & Garfunkel 7.To Know Her Is To Love Her-The Beatles 8.Sincerely Me (live)-Better Than Ezra 9.Beat A Drum-R.E.M. 10.Blue Wing-Dave Alvin
  3. Favorite Pavement Record-Brighten The Corners Favorite Pavement tune-Range Life I would definitely suggest checking out Preston School of Industry (Spiral Stairs' project) He has a new solo album out or coming out. The last PSOI album featured the members of Wilco on various tracks. I've been watching the Slow Century again tonight. I have a ticket for the Philly show with a day off of work. I am really looking forward to this show, but have no expectations.
  4. Who's playing as the Jayhawks these days besides Mark & Gary? I downloaded some of the songs from the Anthology a while back. I really dig that song Stone Cold Mess (Cool, Cool Water).
  5. I watched the DVD last night, pretty cool. I came away with a much more favorable impression of Brent. There have been recordings with Brent that remind me too much of Micheal McDonald (yuck). However, this show demonstrated more of the capability of his soulful side. Keith is still my favorite keyboardist. Has anyone picked up the road trips? I've thought about picking these up, but didn't know how much I would like them. The Dead are much like Miles Davis, there's so much recorded output out there, its hard to know what to get or at least where to start.
  6. I totally dig Gorillaz. I'm not the biggest fan of hip-hop, but I can listen to Gorillaz and easily enjoy it. Plus, it's not mindless, crappy rap/rock like Kid Rock or Linkin Park. I didn't know how much I would like Plastic Beach the first time i heard Stylo, but I am digging it now that I've seen the video. Its also interesting to see how more realistic the Gorillaz look.
  7. That's too bad. I was going to say how it was nice they found a gong for glen that actually fit on stage.
  8. I don't know if we'll actually see it this year, but Radiohead have recently done a recording session with Nigel in LA. So yeah, Radiohead
  9. I agree, I still get choked up with that episode. I am wondering what the animosity is between Richard and the man in black? It appears that Richard actually fears the man in black. I'm pretty sure that Richard's alliance to Jacob has something to do it, but there's probably something more to it as well. I am just really excited that Claire is back! Lost is just not Lost without Claire, crazy or not.
  10. I just hope the snow holds off enough until 10 to not cover up my dish.
  11. I vote for Neil Young & Pearl Jam together again. Actually, they should do an album together again as well. 'I'm The Ocean' still rocks.
  12. I have the satellite shirt, although it has some sort of food stain on it. There's actually a tie for favorite shirt-I have one from the pacific rim 2003 tour that I got at the Boston show that summer which is maroon and has a tiger on the front with wilco above it. The other one was one I got in 2005 which is orange and has Kay-Settes & Butcher's Blind on the front.
  13. not to mention one of the loudest. I'd love to see them again when they tour in the spring.
  14. It would be nice to see them release a box set of the residency shows, much like the Dead have done with the Winterland boxed sets.
  15. It wasn't the full lineup of Wilco, but those who participated in 7 Worlds Collide covered 'Something In The Air'. A fun cover to hear is 'Don't Fear The Reaper'. Jeff also sang 'Fake Plastic Trees' during 7 Worlds Collide. It was actually a pretty good version.
  16. considering Wilco has severed ties with Musictoday (also owned by our dear friend Mr. Capshaw), I wonder if Wilco would play C'ville again. It's possible that they might play Richmond, which would be cool.
  17. looking forward to the Avett Brothers performance. I saw Heartless Bastards in their previous incarnation in their last night of existence, opening for Wilco no less!

  19. I'm not sure if this is in the right forum. I missed out on the 2009 tour this year, after having seen at least one show each year since 2002. So I decided to put together a compilation of the shows that were available on Owl & Bear (thanks for the generosity of providing this site!) to enjoy my own private concert and to celebrate 15 years of Wilco. The compilation works out well on the ipod nano, with the crossfade function. If you want to try out this compilation for yourself, here's the setlist. Casino Queen (4/18/09) 3:40 Box Full of Letters (4/18/09) 3:25 Shouldn't Be Ashamed
  20. 'Long, Long, Long', 'Revolution No. 1' with Total Pros
  21. I think that one was called 'Now and Then' or something like that. It seems like I remember that I remember reading a long time ago that the song was an unfinished song from the Get Back sessions. I was thinking it might show up on the Beatles Rock Band as one of the hidden videos, but I guess not.
  22. I know one very important factor in any rock formula: more cowbell!
