  1. I'm really happy to see 'Company' back in the setlist; one of my favorites from Ghost
  2. I get to see Levon at Merlefest this year. I'm looking forward to this.
  3. me too remphish, did they play the acoustic version of drive or the funk version? personally, i think the funk version was always more interesting
  4. Do you think perhaps we'll see another Tweedy solo tour this year? That would be nice.
  5. wow, this is going to be a busy concert season this spring; i might try to catch them at Toad's Place in Richmond. possibly Widepread, Merlefest, Avett Brothers, Radiohead all within a three week span. but it comes down to an issue of money more than anything.
  6. the Birchmere. I've heard it's a real nice place.
  7. I'm trying to not jump to conclusions, but I'm beginning to like Kate less and less. I figured it was Aaron she was talking about earlier in the episode. I'm sure the writers have some reasonable explanation, but I'm sure Aaron is part of something Kate and Jack are trying to cover up. That being said, I'm not particularly a fan of Jack's as much, but that goes back to season 3.
  8. where are you guys seeing them? maybe we can meet up again. plus, i haven't seen them this year yet, so i'd be stoked to catch another show.
  9. any idea if this is being televised? I would imagine VH1 would pick this up, but who knows.
  10. I've been on a Queen kick for the last few months for some odd reason. I used to listen to them quite a bit in high school and recently got back into them. Anyone else here a fan of Queen. 'It's Late' rocks my socks!
  11. I'm not sure if this fits into this forum, but I figured it could be easily moved. I picked up a copy of this yesterday and watched it yesterday evening. The restoration on this is fantastic! Plus, I've forgotten how fun this movie actually was and funny.
  12. You are very much thought of here Lou. Best wishes on a speedy recovery!
  13. I've been out of the loop on Ryan for awhile. Has it been just lately where he's playing older stuff from his catalog? I remember shows from back around Gold/Demolition where he only played current songs or newer/unreleased stuff. His new stuff sounds solid. Kinda makes me wish I had seen him in Charlottesville when he came recently.
  14. That's awesome! It was a lot of fun meeting all of you Saturday. Glad she had fun!
  15. I don't know, taking unseemly detours can be interesting or disasterous. However, there's some things that can make you turn an ear and go 'huh!'. Sometimes those moments are great experiments. I haven't heard this guy, but the reception live seems to be a good one, so at least there's chemistry. As much as an idea can be great on paper, it may not always play out great and can make things unfun. However, it seems like these guys are having fun together. Having fun can be contagious.
  16. I thought maybe this would be an interesting effort, but bland collection of covers. However, I'm definitely looking forward to this now. I especially dig Cat Power's cover of Stuck Inside of Mobile...
  17. Wishful Thinking immediately comes to mind
  18. I could really be happy either way, I'm just happy they're coming back to Charlottesville. I thought I would post my fantasy setlist. These are always fun to do. 19. btw-does anyone know when Mike started playing live with Wilco? When I saw them that July (2002), he wasn't with them yet. Then, he was there in October.
  20. I was at that show, actually. I believe, and I may be wrong, that when he was switching guitars between Not For The Seasons and Hesistating Beauty, the guitar hit him on the forehead. He left the stage in the middle of Hesitating Beauty and Jeff turned around and Leroy wasn't there! But the band kept on. Finally, he came back and supposedly had a dolphin band-aid on his head. That's what I believe Jeff said the following evening. In any case, he didn't fall off the stage because he was towards the back of the stage at that point. I thought maybe something had happened and he had gotten
  21. I'm providing a link to a version of Laminated Cat (Not For The Season(s)) from the 9:30 Club. This is from 10/14/02Laminated Cat
  22. I have been driving around the last week, listening to the Alpha Romeo Tango compilation and wishing Wilco would bring back "Laminated Cat (Not For The Seasons)" It seems to fit the mood of autumn, besides the lyrics about autumn coming. Plus, its just a kick ass song.
  23. Barnes & Noble had the book for 30 clams, down 20 from its original price. Couldn't resist picking it up for that price. I'm also recording it to DVDR.
