I say Carly goes home this week. That bathroom comment will be her death.

This should definitely put the pressure on Axl to finish and release the album.

EI= MLB Extra Innings
-
Although I don't do MLBtv (I get the EI package) I've heard it gets progressively better each year. A head's up for those thinking about getting it that they do black out local market games, yet there is a way around this when ordering, apparently.

That's just your opinion though. heh.

Sincere regards and wishes for a quick recovery for Tara.

I would say (hope?) yes, it was nerves as he settled down after the 2nd/3rd inning and pitched well. He was/is huge in Japan. He was spotty in his starts last year and I think a lot of that is due to adjusting to MLB (ball is supposedly slightly bigger than in Japanese baseball, for example) and some tinkering of his schedule and mechanics by BOS pitching coaches.

Factually. C'mon this is getting a bit ridiculous. While intrinsic beauty in Art is very much subjective, there are means to reasonably assess what is generally regarded as "good" and "bad" Art. It's not always accurate and certainly not a science or foolproof but there are ways to distinguish between shit Art and good Art. The matter of "subjectivity" is assumed as it basically links to a more philosophical take.

I wonder if it's a designer sweater.

Hear, hear!

Just "finished" watching the tivo-ed game. I forgot to tivo the show after the game on ESPN2 so my recording cut after Moss's 9th inning HR. Total buzz kill. Matsuzaka got rattled easily and early but it was a good sign that he was able to settle down after a few innings. Ellsbury's Crisp-like catch in the 8th was another good sign. I still expect his share of mistakes this year, though. Was that a Papelbon look alike? yeesh.

Picked up two books at the library today that look interesting. Anybody with insight on either please chime in: The author here is a CNN senior legal analyst and New Yorker staff writer. Looks really good. This one deals with why we make the decisions we make in everyday events. I also received in the mail three books from a kind guy who works for Houghton Mifflin: Thanks to kim and others who suggested Tim O'Brien to me. I'm a fan. and this one written by Dick Schaap's kid, Jeremy, about Jesse Owens, Hitler, and the '36 Olympics:

I was thinking the same thing. Sox game will be at 4 a.m. for me, the webcast at 5 a.m.

You need to pm him your email address. Yikes man. -
At this point in these threads I always like to offer The Good Earth by The Feelies as excellent driving music, as well as the Meat Puppets' Up on the Sun.

So when do we get the copy? -
ESPN2 will supposedly rebroadcast both games at 2 pm. (EDT) for each game.

Testing our skills at scrolling? Cripes. I felt the blood rising and had to go to my "happy place" while filtering past that noise. -
C'mon man. So what if there are 50 + comments. This thread'll end up as another colossal beast because Ryan Adams is involved. Hot topic, and all. But, I think there's only one, maybe two people that are taking more out of the video than what it is. Certainly not the main thought process here for the collective mind. And not for nothing, but you voice your opinion about RA not being "overrated" just like others are voicing their thoughts on RA. What's the difference? And, in the time it took you to read this Ryan Adams has put out 2 more goofy videos and another album.

In fairness to Vince, he was new to the band as a virtual outsider up until that point. The low man on the totem poll (including roadies like Ram Rod, Parish, etc.). He also was very down on his luck until he got the call to join the Dead. It was all pretty new to him and he absolutely loved being in the band and cherished Garcia in particular. I'd guess his input was an enthusiastic thumb's up to keep at it. But, I seriously doubt that Vinnie's "demand" that they continue touring played any major factor into the decision. As mentioned, the beast was too big to really stop at that point, reg

Thanks. I had no idea. I guess that's a good thing that I've always been on the short list.
-
*ahem* Unless there's another bracket I'm aware of. I've still got 10 or 16 left and 3 of the Final Four left though.
-
You could have gotten it for $0.15 on Amazon! (of course there's a $4.00 s&h fee, so....good move).

Or the market might correct/adjust itself, in which case it's a good deal for Cabrera. In either case, both sides are content right now.

I saw The Butthole Surfers a couple times in the mid/late 80s and there were some tense moments and a bit of blood. I'm not sure I fully understand the question but I'll go with G.G. Allin and the fear would be having fecal matter hurled at me.
