  1. Bud Selig re-signed for three more years by MLB owners: http://mlb.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20...sp&c_id=mlb
  2. They're not like Beatlemania where they try to be the Dead. While they have had members (I remember a "Bobby" from a while back who affected Weir's mannerisms eerily dead-on) whom bear an uncanny vocal stage presence resemblance (their keyboard guy unfortunately even passed away a couple years ago), and although they usually play complete shows (with "bonus" materials tossed in at the end), they aren't trying to replicate the concert note for note. They bring their own musicianship to the table and they've always been top-notch when I've seen them (roughly 20+ shows). They're just sharing t
  3. Well, yeah, but given a chance you'd still nail her.
  4. GAH! You're right. It's been too long, I guess. And Foxon Park Birch Beer is what dreams are made of. Good call.
  5. Dig a large hole in the back yard and tell her it's just your "in case" pit.
  6. If anything, the roommate will split if she can't handle being told "no." Speed Racer goes no where. I do like the idea of calling the heat if she borrows the car without permission, though. I'd tell her first you'll be "forced" to report it as stolen, though. Give her a fair shot.
  7. Worth checking out if you never have. They play out here a lot and usually do 2-3 night runs. They charge upward and above $20 these days, though, depending on the joint.
  8. Tell her you're concerned about the no insurance part of it and don't think it's wise for her to be driving it. If she wants to get a policy and help pay for the car payments (if you have them) and you're fine with that then it's another matter. Really though, not wanting her to drive because the onus is on you if something happens should be all you need to say. You can even tell her that although you know she's a careful driver (whether she actually is or not), you're concerned that someone else may hit her while driving in which case you're still liable.
  9. My 2 cents: I grew up right outside New Haven and went to HS there: If you have the time, you need to go to a pizza place while visiting. New Haven is notorious for it's pizza on Worcester St. Pepe's or Sally's (run by the same family and right next to each other) are the places you want. wood burning brick oven. Written up nationally for their pizzas for years. Give yourself/your group a good 1.5-2 hours as they don't take reservations and the line forms early for a booth. There're great Italian ices to be consumed just down the street for after. If this doesn't work, at least hit
  10. Detroit re-signs Nate Robertson for 3 yr/21 M +. http://www.rotoworld.com/content/playerpag...MLB&id=3553
  11. Here's the clip: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8RpJtIpXGK8...feature=related Greil Marcus hails the performance as "one of the greatest of his career" (scroll to about the middle if you don't want to read it all): http://www.threepennyreview.com/samples/marcus_w06.html Personally, I think Marcus is off the mark and reaching a lot. Just my take, though.
  12. That pic of her heading into the pool with heels and a cell phone/ Blackberry is close to a nipple shot. Thanks, man. Or technically an areola shot , I suppose.
  13. What about "Just a Kid?" Is it wrong to get a lot of enjoyment out of it or should I just let it go?
  14. Jon Lieber goes back to Cubs with 1-year deal: http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/7683658...3162&ATT=49
  15. And, of course, factual data. This is a case of factual data.
  16. Well, I'd like some time (maybe an hour and 55 min. or so) to get her loose with a few Zimas if that's alright.
  17. "Cute" isn't a good descriptive word to compare her to. She's got some weird almost man-like qualities to her. The chest not one of them. I think she'd be just fine to "hang out" with for a couple hours, though.
  18. The Robinson brothers in 25 years?
