Ditto here in Denver. Friday I'll be drinking White Russians in honor of the new "president". -
Believe so. Not even a tom-tom.

Good question. He was behind the drummers a lot, even into '72. Maybe it had something to do with his hearing and different stage dynamics at different venues? Merely a wild guess.

Exactly. I hope he's gone in 4 yrs but, per this past election, you can't tell....

Like Donald Trump...?

There IS no tipping point, you silly....

Oh man, that was pretty much my reaction. While I have had several very lucid and frightening "dreams" since November about a Trump presidency (one last week was that the only form of communication allowed was through Tweeting, even personal shit to my wife), I have lost a lot of stamina for being disgusted with the guy. It's a bad scene when people get worn down from the daily inanity and seemingly mind-blowing moves (cabinet appointees, for example) to the point that frustration is just too exhausting to continue with.

That's cool. I SO associate the Jam with the transition from Chine Cat->Rider in '73-'74 that I often forget about it's other slots.....

Pretty sure you need at least a semblance of hair for that....

Ditto. I never really understand/-stood paying out the ass for already readily available and perfectly fine audio of free music.

Watched the whole thing again the other night. That 2nd set is a doozy....

Which reminds me: I heard The Blues Brothers cover all the tunes off of Briefcase Full of Blues way before the originals, but particularly the two hits: "Soul Man" and "Rubber Biscuit." I don't think I even read the fine print on the album when it came out (I was about 12) and didn't know they were cover tunes until a bunch of years later.

But that wasn't said. I just added another tune UB40 covered because someone else had mentioned it. The point was that he's a prolific songwriter that's been covered by some notoriously admired artists (not UB40).
