  1. Very reasonable. I notice that Alice in Chains are are on the bill with them this weekend in Vegas. Has anyone here even attempted to listen to and Alice since Staley died?
  2. Curious about prices. ... For the show.
  3. NYY postponed their opener today due to rain. Seat belt-wearing cowards, New Yorkers are.
  4. if that happened to me I'd turn Netflix back on for known reasons....
  5. Whoah, The Ogden is smal! Saw Furthur there a couple years ago (I forget why they were playing there) before they did a 3-night run up the road in a "normal"-sized place. Don't know much about Petty's Mudcrutch but dig Petty, so....
  6. What about the Roku? Or the Tivo? What about the Amazon Prime?
  7. I'm glad they're not playing in Denver so I don't even have to sit on the fence about whether to go or not....: http://blogs.wsj.com/speakeasy/2016/03/25/guns-n-roses-north-america-summer-tour/?mod=e2fb
  8. We watched a documentary on the Netflix the other day called The Barkley Marathons: The Race That Eats Its Young. If you've heard of it or not, it's a very cool documentary on a brutal, unique, quirky, and ridiculously challenging marathon held every year in TN. that you should watch.
  9. Nice^. Loved when they did Torn & Frayed, too....
  10. Agree. Jane's doing "Ripple" is a great example, too. I listened to the "New Speedway" last night and, although the gal has a great voice, it was pretty rote. I also heard a band called The War on Drugs do "Touch of Grey,"too and although the cheesy keyboards from the album version are on there, there was a twist and personable touch to it. Well done (although my wife thought he was trying to sound like Bob Dylan)...
  11. No, didn't go last weekend. Shakedown St. played my wedding two summers ago, though (I got to join in on drums for a few tunes while wife sang). They're local guys and play a lot around here.
  12. I saw a great little 2-day outdoor concert in Aspen (Buttermilk Mountain), Concert for Harmony in 1998 that had the Crowes, SCI, Leftover Salmon, Big Head Todd, etc. I think it was the 2nd day when someone threw a shoe at/near CR during their set and CR told the crowd he was gonna find the person and (sic) "stick a size 12 up your ass." Couldn't blame him for that.
  13. I never did read/hear if Rich's claims of re-worked contracts (Steve to become a salaried member, etc.) being validated. I'm not saying they aren't, I just never heard that what Rich said to the press last year(putting the blame squarely on Chris's shoulders) to be verified. Chris can be a diva (from what I've heard) at times, but most rockers can. I've also heard, first hand, how kind he can be. Either way, he's said he was never very happy being in the Crowes, anyway....
  14. Here's a good take, too, particulalry Ms. randa's points in the end: http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/rosenblog/ct-adam-laroche-white-sox-rosenbloom-20160321-column.html
  15. Almost convinced my wife to watch this last night but we settled on season 1 of Better Call Saul. Also, was going to take the kids to Zootopia this weekend but my ex-wife scooped them early from school and took like 6-7 kids to the theatre Friday afternoon. a weekend of almosts, but Better Call Saul was pretty good.
  16. I'll go with this song: http://teamcoco.com/video/nathaniel-ratliff-the-night-sweats-09-15-15
  17. I picked this up, too, last year when it came out. I think it's a limited edition (like Vol. 1). I tried to pick up vol. 1, also, but it's now going for close to $500 (vinyl) and no cds/downloads available.
  18. Yes. Caught this clip over the weekend. Check it out, all, if you haven't seen it. Garcia tells funny story about early days Fillmore mishap.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grQ8f5oOcY4
  19. Regardless if it's a "normal" job or not, bringing your kid to work every day is a little much. Plus, he's got 4-5 months off every year not working to hang with his kid. If it's in his contract (and I really doubt it would be) then he should file a grievance. Curious that there are not set rules already established about limits for family members being around.
  20. I only know what I've heard on local (Denver) sports radio, but shouldn't his kid be in school, anyway, at age 14? Plus, I'm sure it's been noted, but what other jobs are you allowed to bring your kid to work with you about 100% of the time? Kind of seems like a little entitlement on LaRoche's part and I can't blame the front office/management for drawing a line.
  21. ^ Funny stuff. I didn't read the comments but appreciate the person who also sees Keller as a gimmick..... I know he's talented and all, but it does seem shtick-y to me....
  22. I forget if you're a CRB fan, but was just reading an article about the bassist leaving and a few shows upcoming with CR's side project (that includes Krasno): "Robinson is also heading up the Chris Robinson Soul Revue at the upcoming Fool's Paradise festival in St. Augustine, FL from April 1-2, bringing along Neal Casal from the CRB and performing with Ivan Neville, George Porter Jr., Eric Krasno, Nikki Glaspie and The Shady Horns."
