Dead on...Also the music biz can be a sleazy endeavor...lots of promoters, venues, etc over the years have been implicated in ticket scams with various ticket companies i.e holding back stuff for sale on secondary markets. Not saying anyone involved with the band would do so ( I believe Wilco truly cares about their fans ) but it would not surprise me if venue owners or people involved with the issuing company ( Ticketmaster or whomever ) were not on the up and up. Also lots of people make tons of dough on deals like this and hire people to flood ticket sites, stand in line, whatever in anti

Really liked Water For Elephants, The Road.....ehhhhhh, thought it was a good book but I don't get all the fuss. Certainly a fine story and all just guess it doesn't hit me like it has so many others. Then again I also really liked A Castle In The Forest (Mailer's last novel), so maybe that says volumes (no pun intended) about my tastes. That is one screwy read.

They had a funny little blurb on Good Morning America about Clemens this morning. As they were going to break they showed video of three kids around 12-13 or so leafing through what appears to be a copy of the Mitchell report. This one kid scans a page and says "Huh, Roger Clemens is in this. I thought he was all about the work ethic." It cracked me up, but at the same time it's kinda sad....This generations version of "Say it ain't so Joe, say it ain't so."

It's amazing that happens. Not just with this steroid deal but I am constantly amazed every time there is some kind of scandal people leave a paper trail. If I'm gonna do something shady I'd use cash and no credit cards, checks, emails, memos, etc

Don't sweat the seats, there truly are no bad seats at the Ryman (except for a few in the lower level behind the balcony supports), you will have a fine view of the stage and the acoustics in there have been compared to those of The Morman Tabernacle (seriously!). Your gonna be about 25 feet above the stage and about oh...maybe 70 feet back...it's a tiny tiny place, only seats 2200 or so. You'll love it.

ESPN is reporting that a Yankees trainer told the Mitchell investigation that Roger Clemmons was using steroids while with Yankees and prior to him joining the team. Apparently this trainer was Clemmons personal trainer. EDIT: This is being reported on Mike & Mike ESPN2

OK....Mitchell report coming out later, pundits are saying big names will be named, potential hall of famers, etc, etc....any predictions or is it just gonna be a bunch of journeymen type players and minor leaugers? Anyone think any truly shocking names will be named besides the usual ( Bonds, Sosa, etc) suspects?

Aman...that "beautiful jam" is on (as I'm sure you know) the so many roads box set. That is one fine piece o' music in my opinion -
perhaps some Thievery Corporation?.....not sure if its classified as electronica, might be more "chill" music but......

I always like checking out the various ticket broker sites right after stuff goes on sale (or pre-sale) just for shits and giggles...It didn't take long, there are all sorts of tix out there for most of the venues for this spring on the various sites. Someone is charging over $900 bucks for a front row seat in New Haven, and there are several other sites advertising tix for well over $100 a pop...... Capitalism at it's finest...I guess there really isn't a way to keep brokers and scalper types from getting seats that ( I personally would rather see ) should get into the hands of fans. You go

Not sure if there is a way to do it on the actual Ipod, but if you go into your I tunes and click on "view" (up on the tool bar) it will give you a list of options, click on the one called "view options" it will give you a box that contains many different boxes you can check. Click on "date added" then close. Your I tunes library page will then show the date you added whichever song. Note: This is for my version which is version 7

Take some time, cross over the GG bridge into Marin county and explore. That area is simply beautiful, lotta nice little towns, Mount Tamalpais (spelling?), etc. I would also reccomend the obvious tourist sites, Gloden Gate Park, Museum of Art, Exploratorium etc. SF is (in my opinion) one of the few remaining unique cities. A lot of places nowadays seem really generic, you feel like you could be anywhere...SF has a quality all it's own. Have fun there!

Just shocking....... Just kidding....but "masturbatory"?

Yeah I kinda wrestled with that myself, but said screw it... sent out a prayer and some healing vibes to equal out the karma.
