Am I the only one here that doesn't liken this track to the coming of Jesus?

Yeah, I think I do. Stuck in my room somewhere. I'd have to look for it a bit but it's definitely in there.

1967 Epiphone Casino Cherry For Sale
Gobias Industries replied to wonderwallroads's topic in Solid State Technology
I've seen the color a couple of times. It's a beaut. Best of luck, I don't quite have funds, and I kinda have a Casino already (90s Korean-made, so not as cool/good, but still). -

Woody Guthrie. Boom, roasted.

"I'll Flight" is apparently an AMG track pick, too. -
Obama to hand control of markets to Federal Reserve

I just noticed this. I'm seriously bored reading about cascading tariffs right now so I figured I'd reply, mostly out of boredom rather than the need to debate this (non-)issue. Greenspan had far less to do with the mess than a lot of people. Essentially, the economy crashed because securities were becoming too complex. When they become too complex, risk is too hard to properly assess, leading to every sort of problem you can imagine. And the risk accumulated in all the wrong places, i.e. in the hands of investors who purchased mortgage-backed securities diluted to hell with re-bundli -
Pitchfork Media's reaction to the new record
Gobias Industries replied to Clint09eastwood's topic in Just A Fan
The reviewer seems pretty sure that Tweedy used to consciously write to "challenge the listener." I'm not really sure that is what Tweeedy thought when he sat down to write any of those records: "Hey, let's challenge these folks, sweet. And how can I do that?" Hm...doubtful. Writers just write, there's no "pandering" or "subversion" to it, at least as far as I know. But overall it's actually the most level-headed review I've seen from Pitchfork in a long-ass time. -

This kind of recalls the US hockey team almost 30 years ago. Shit, I almost wrote twenty years and then I realized it was a longer ago than that.

That's probably a good way to put it. I definitely wouldn't recommend them to anyone who has any sort of aversion to "weird-ness," but if you can get past that, they're really good, especially with Bitte Orca and to a lesser extent Rise Above, that record I just listened to. now:

Hollinger's Avett Bros. comp.

Wilco policy is against videotaping (audio is OK) if I remember correctly, but I heard about this from Pitchfork, and it makes me like the song even more than before, which is a lot given that I really like the song to begin with.

I'm sorry my initial hunches have clear evidence that I obviously thought was relevant? Everything sounded good as usual but the energy level was really low...not what they usually provide.
-
It was a solid performance, but they all seemed not particularly into it. Compared to the live performance that I saw and the cred they've naturally developed this performance was sort of lifeless, I'm going to be honest. Take a look at that one video posted earlier of Wilco doing Monday back in the day. A considerably higher energy level there. "You Never Know" doesn't rock out as hard but it's just as upbeat and (probably more) cheery than "Monday," so last night's lack of energy was unfortunate, because it could have totally been really awesome. Though I suppose they're all just gettin

This is similar to the Tenori-On. I do not have a Tenori-On, so this is cool. Also I just made the grooviest thing ever. I love this. Bookmarked.
