Happy birthday, dude! -

SBS, because I don't have BAITUSA.

Plus, out of all the bands out there today, I'm pretty sure Wilco is the only one deserving of the comparison to the Band.

I fully agree as candidates the issues are paramount, but it does seem a little weird to me. I'm not going to hold Palin especially accountable on the issue if it ever proves to be true, but if it does, lying when in public office is a dangerous thing (even if to protect their child). Plus, the girl looks legit preggo in that family shot. That ain't fat.

DO NOT SAY . That is my only piece of advice. Call it a "dog kennel."

I: A. Only buy albums, not just singles or individual songs. B. Always pay for them (if I can, for example you can't really get the Neil Young 'lost' Chrome Dreams album, so you can't do much about it). C. Usually get them off of Amazon nowadays.

Records show the legitimate last recording done by any Beatle pertained to overdubbing Let It Be.

Baseball does not deserve second-page status. On that note, I'd like to see the Indians totally fuck up the AL playoff race. Because we obviously can't make it at this rate, I'd like to spoil someone's fun.

At least a Witch Doctor can (hint: start at about 1:15).

The Beatles were done after Let It Be. Are you implying the same for Wilco? I know you didn' mean it, but I had to bring it up.

Found this on Cafferty's article on CNN:

I was actually kidding. I haven't been keeping up with UM preseason activities, but do I have more faith in your team than you do (except for, obviously, the GAME)?

Interesting McCain interview...

In a way, I see how it sends the message "I'm not happy with the system" and I respect it for that, but if you aren't participating in the system how the hell do you expect it to change in the ways you want it to? That's my issue with it. Outside of blowing the whole world up there really isn't a way to work outside of the system for "your change," so the only way is to work within the system. If you want the change bad enough you'll work for it, even if it means working in the system, so not voting seems to be nothing more than a symbolic gesture than anything else, ultimately ineffective

But as President of the Senate she's more likely to be able whip her party members "not in line" into line. That's just my opinion, I feel like there's something more insidious at work as President of the Senate than just being the 101th vote. Except 60% to 70% of those females take positions against everything Palin stands for, so it's not a very smart pick.

"In their pocket" is considerably different than "influence." We can expect Palin to be an oil spokeswoman inside Washington, using her clout whenever she can to get a good vote for oil. You can't say the same for some of the others. They receive money, yes, but it's not the only thing that's dictating their vote.
-
Well, the oil lobby already has Palin safely in their pocket. Wants to drill in the refuges, married an oilman...

"I didn't expect some sort of Democratic Party!"
