  1. You sound like that's a bad thing...
  2. I suppose I should give Sowers another year or so before railing on him any more, but we lose games more often than we win them with his performances.
  3. At least Live Rust was #2. I can't believe the Beatles at the BBC didn't make it, while MC5 made the list? For reals?
  4. Wasn't Pete Best the main drummer for that? I know Ringo did tambourine on the track, but that's it. Granted, the tambourine is sick on Love Me Do, so I'll give you that. edit: Never mind, it was session drummer Andy White. Ringo still did the tambourine, though.
  5. Oh, I know. I mean, when we traded CC first, then Casey Blake, it was obvious, but our pitching staff has been pretty weak and it's just getting weaker. Plus, I've always had a soft spot for Mr. Byrd, so this is aggravating to an extent. We are trying to shape up, who, Sowers? 1-6? For real? We need at least some reliable pitching to carry over, and now the only person to be so is really only Cliff Lee. I still want to win some games. I don't care how far we look into the future but at least give us the chance to win a few games before the next season.
  6. Bitch, you ain't gonna leave! Every drum part is my favorite part. I can't compare them. Picking one is doing a disservice to the other equally as awesome drum parts.
  7. WHAT?!?!?!?!?! WHY DID WE TRADE PAUL BYRD DAMNIT I'm fine now. But not really. Our starting lineup has sucked hardcore except for Lee and Byrd and this doesn't help.
  8. I was the same way. Eventually I got into it. I started with In Rainbows (it was free at the time... ) and then worked from there. OK Computer came easiest after that. Kid A came last. I still haven't heard Amnesiac... (I'm going to put it on my to buy list)
  9. China, however, cares too much about economic growth to do anything. I mean, they've put off reclaiming Taiwan for 50 years so they can develop into an industrialized nation. Russia, Iran, yeah, I suppose it's entirely possible.
  10. This is good, because I plan on brewing a lot of good coffee at my apt. next year.
  11. Late jumper on the wagon, but I love this album. I mostly bought it because it's 3$ on Amazon, but it's really, really, good.
  12. Bored enough for another go: Interrupt handler - More Than What We Are The image doesn't really fit with the album title...
  13. http://www.myspace.com/imfrombarcelona Basically a Swedish bersion of BSS, or at least that's how they call it.
  14. Nothing says "good job" like a smack on the ass.
  15. This. When people bring up how they are "liek the same," I get half-angry and explain how they actually differentiate from their roots. Radiohead takes from a more "alternative," post-punk-ish history while Wilco draws from the more "folk," alt-country, Americana roots. They have followed similar arcs, so to speak but their pasts are so different. What would be a more interesting argument is that whether Radiohead and Wilco, despite different roots, have followed parallel paths.
