What song would you like to see Neil and Wilco do together?
Gobias Industries replied to bold992003's topic in Just A Fan
What would be really sweet is if Tweedy and Neil did something solo-together to end the show. I'd cream my pants faster than you could say 'Pocahontas.' -

Bob Dylan - I Want You Great song, I don't think any of the lyrics have anything to do with wanting a particular person except "I want you," but it's Dylan, so it's irrelevant, right? Others mentioned already include Paul McCartney's Maybe I'm Amazed, but my favorite is this John Lennon & Harry Nilsson - Only You (demo)...can't get over its awesomeness.

RIP bud, you were pretty sweet.

Strange may it be, but I can listen to virtually anything while I work out. Like, I've listened to the Byrds' Sweetheart of the Rodeo while lifting weights. Yeah, I know... Mostly what I end up hankering for, most usually it's Uncle Tupelo (mostly No Depression and Still Feel Gone), once it was the Minutement (Double Nickels On the Dime). I also have this weird sort of "only listen to albums" thing with working out that carried over from doing that on a non-exercising basis.

The "I so don't care about the Olympics" thread
Gobias Industries replied to bjorn_skurj's topic in Tongue-Tied Lightning
Well, Peirsol gave a lead going into breaststroke, which Hansen ended up losing some time putting the US in third. Phelps then gave a half-length lead going into the free, Lezak basically just had to stave off Sullivan or whatshisface to win. Unless you're talking about the 4x100 Free relay, in which case most of it was Lezak. Lezak is no stranger to it though, he's been an US Olympic relay swimmer for what seems like an eternity, so he knows what it takes to be clutch. -

In The Aeroplane Over The Sea eats OK Computer for breakfast. Just saying.

Young better be playing Massey Hall if he does Toronto. If this falls in my winter break, I am seriously thinking about a major-ass road trip to Toronto to see Neil Young and Wilco. This. is. hotsauce. I think Neil should just play Chrome Dreams all the way through. I don't care what he does after it.

I think Bennett falls squarely in the "do" category.

Somehow a little part of me hoped he listened to awesome music.

Nice.

...because he pitched well against the Sox?

Got it: here. Good watch.

How did you come by your VC Handle?

Reminds of the classic Not the Nine O'Clock News sketch where John McEnroe gets angry that his parents thought he slurped his orange juice and that his mom "boiled his egg for less than six minutes exactly." I would have posted it meself but the video seems to have gone missing on Youtube.

I love EPL but it's impossible to get it over the pond so I don't know what the hell is going on, ever. If I knew / take time to know, I will be up for this too. The only thing I know is that I would pick Fernando Torres very, very quickly.

I love this record
