  1. I don't listen to it as often as I should. Every time I do, I forget how many great tunes it has.
  2. I went there, it was good. Wasn't sure if it was still open. On Devils Tower v. Mt. Rushmore, I guess it depends upon your POV. I was pretty awestruck by both, but then we can debate lot of things... God's (or nature's for non-believers) work vs. Man's Carving up a mountain that's sacred to the Sioux (if what I'm told is true) to honor people who either directly or indirectly helped cause their near-extinction.
  3. Love Mount Rushmore. Haven't seen Crazy Horse (the mountainside sculpture, not Neil Young's backup band) since the early '80s. They've made some progress on it recently.
  4. You didn't mean that as a joke did you? Personally, I'd put it somewhere between amazing and biggest disaster of a tourist trap this side of Wall Drug.
  5. Anyone going to Denny's for their free breakfast tomorrow AM? I can't imagine what type of clientele shows up at Denny's for a free breakfast. Hollinger and other Des Moines people on the boards might understand this would be a good time to go shopping at the Windsor Heights Wal Mart. I imagine many of their regulars will be lined up outside Denny's.
  6. Time escapes us, how many posted in the January thread yesterday or today?? A fine jazz CD by a modestly appealing pop piano player. I'm sure it's been covered in the Grateful Dead thread(s?), but do any serious deadheads appreciate his contributions? He seems to improvise well on this disc.
  7. Never saw Wilco w/ Bennett. I love his contributions, but after watching those videos, I think the current incarnation of Wilco is better.
  8. I thought that was horrible too. Maybe his fine should match his Super Bowl bonus.
  9. So called hero! http://mcsweeneys.net/2009/1/30kahnmiller.html
  10. What about Dancing in the Dark w/ an appearance by Courtney Cox Arquette?
  11. Pretty sure I got 34. Mad that I couldn't think of Morocco and typed Monaco. Also should've gotten O'Keefe, but I missed the New in New Mexico, so guessed Rivera which I knew was wrong. I did have quite a hot streak early on, but a couple of misses really affected my concentration and confidence.
  12. I don't feel like I choked on any obvious questions. There were quite a few I didn't know. I'll be curious to check the answers in the forum.
  13. Boy, I'm wishing I took today's test. Easily knew 40. Maybe 42, I wasn't timing. Did anyone else think these were a lot easier than yesterday's. Hopefully tomorrow's will be as favorable to me.
