Freedom might be the greatest comeback record ever, IMO! Also LOVE Ragged Glory, Harvest Moon & Sleeps w/ Angels. Really like Prairie Wind. Sometimes appreciate Arc/Weld, but regret spending so much to get the full box set. There are some tremendous songs on Mirror Ball, but I hardly ever listen to it. I think 1989-1994 is as strong of an era as Neil has had. Of course, I was but a youngster in the 70s (born in 1970) so I didn't get to fully appreciate his other material as new releases.

RIP. Don't have any of his CDs, but plenty he plays on. Mostly Art Blakey's Jazz Messengers and Coltrane.

Hmmm... Plays well when it doesn't matter, chokes when it does, has a thing for blonde pop stars... I don't see any similarity at all. A couple of differences, Romo seems like a decent guy. There was a story recently about him taking a homeless guy to a movie. Also, despite all Romo's been through, he has stated accessible to the press and his fans.

Great songwriter/cheesy performer.

That's cool, but I would maintain that liking Neil comes w/ more guilt than liking James. Just my opinion, but the cheese factor and tight pants (not to mention Will Ferrell) add up the guilt factor.

Can't be underrated. Some GREAT songs for a "kids" album. I may be in the minority, but I love his contributions to the Singles soundtrack. Esp. Waiting for Somebody.

No guilt required. He's a fine songwriter and performer. A bit cheesy and mellow, but c'mon, it's not like he's Neil Diamond.

Vikings are NFC North Champs!! Woo hoo!! I was so prepared for the worst today and they almost delivered, but I'm excited anyway. Doubly excited that we don't have to play my wife's Cowboys next week so we won't have any domestic discord. Bears fans, I feel your pain. I've been there many, many times.

I wasn't at the Val Air show, but if memory serves me correct (someone with more patience can look through the threads), there were no cameras spotted there. I don't care what material is on the DVD as I like SBS as much as anything else. Having said that, since they "rehearsed" all their material during the residency in preparation of this tour, my guess is it will be quite a variety. Almost guaranteed to include "It's Just That Simple".

This is a jazz trio (piano, bass, drums) that plays a lot of rock covers. They are definitely jazz, but sound different from any other trio I've ever heard. My guess is that one of them, or someone else, deserves Kudos for helping this young man write this blog. No insult intended, it's a blog, not homework and I see nothing wrong with it if someone is helping. And it is entirely possible he's writing this on his own. I've just read lots of writing from 12 & 13 year old kids and -- more often than I'd like to admit -- their parents who've "helped" them do their writing. I would be suspicious of writing of this quality were turned in to me.

Grrrr.... The Minneapolis Star Tribune was full of articles about the Vikings loss to the Falcons in the NFC Championship Game 10 years ago this year. Looks like the Vikings decided to relive it, but not make it as close. Go Pack Go! If they beat the Bears we're still division champs.

I think the Cowboys defense thought they were only supposed to play 3 quarters to get ready for the post-game end of Texas Stadium ceremonies.
