  1. I thought the lead actor had a vague resemblance to Tweedy. Maybe it's that he was always wearing a denim jacket.
  2. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. Didn't need to be made.
  3. Thankful for my kids, my wife, my family, my job, and too much more to list here.
  4. Who wants a guy with the judgment to wear this toupee in charge of the federal budget?
  5. U.S.A., U.S.A., U.S.A., U.S.A., U.S.A., U.S.A.,!!!!!
  6. For me, it all begins and ends with "A Charlie Brown Christmas". I like Los Straitjackets, Elvis, and most classic jazz and standards singers.
  7. Wow! I thoroughly enjoyed this movie!
  8. The only positive I see in this was the last line.
  9. Too Far Down/Hardly Getting Over It - Husker Du (maybe more depressing than sad, if that makes sense)
  10. Thanks to all veterans! We wouldn't be here doing what we do without your sacrifice.
  11. Not as funny as the publication. But funny in the tradition of Kentucky Fried Movie.
  12. Thanks for all those great maps. I hope they're all accurate. I'm going to check around. I've popped them in a .ppt to show my students.
  13. Skol Vikings! Lucky break missing that field goal @ the end.
  14. It's been a long time since Hawks fans have had anything to cheer for, other than beating our lowly in-state rival.
  15. I remember an interview a few years back on NPR. A guy was making the case that GM should become the biggest lobbyist for universal healthcare. They spend more $$ per car manufactured on healthcare (current employee and retiree) than they do on steel. It's hard for them to compete against automakers whose employees have so much of that paid by their governments.
  16. Saw this link on Bob Mould's Blog - The poetic symmetry of history
  17. Mostly I paid attention to cnn.com. I usually prefer NBC, but their cyber studio was almost impossible to watch, plus no Tim Russert made them much less compelling. I must say that I enjoyed Morning Joe (Scarborough) on MSNBC this morning. Are they recounting in MN? Coleman leads Franken by 570 votes!
  18. I remember a hilarious news conference that Dave Berry held at the National Press Club about a week after Clinton's inauguration during which he constantly referenced "the failed Clinton Administration".
