  1. I was flipping between baseball & football last night when I sudden realized both games were in the Tampa/St. Pete area. Must've been a tough pick for season ticket holders of both teams. I would assume the would've picked game 7, but didn't see many empty seats in the football stadium.
  2. Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea
  3. A lot of the Bears' points were due to Vikings special teams errors or bad decisions. They squibbed 2 or 3 kickoffs because they were afraid to kick it to Hester. I understand he's a dangerous player, but that gave the Bears a very short field to work with. I'm just glad the Vikings kept it close in Chicago. Our passing game is slowly coming around and defenses cannot just key in on Peterson anymore.
  4. Wow, flashback to my pre/early teen (tween?) years when MTV just came out! Thanks.
  5. Anyone go to the Bears / Vikings game today? 89 combined points. Wow! The Vikings special teams are truly pathetic.
  6. Speaking of made for TV, I'm struck by the coincidence of Josh Brolin playing Bush after James "Streisand" Brolin played Ronald Reagan in that controversial CBS miniseries about 10 years ago.
  7. Your avatar is too closely related to Pres. Bush. We don't want your kind here. Go back to your anncoulter.com forum.
  8. Mark Wahlberg was hilarious. I wonder if last week's sketch was just a setup for this week.
  9. I wish he weren't so sleazy. I like his progressive-conservative outlook.
  10. I think both Bush, sr. and Clinton were lefties, too. I'm a lefty. I hereby announce my intention to seek the office of President of the United States in 2012. Online donations can be made here: http://lefty2012.com
  11. McCain doesn't suck so much, I voted for him in the Iowa Caucus (I think I was the 1). I think he really blew his choice for running mate. Obama doesn't suck, I just think he's wrong. It'll be interesting to see what happens in this country if the Democrats have an filibuster proof majority. The WSJ has a predictable essay about the possibility.
  12. I don't like Palin, so I might. I can't see voting for McCain at this point. I may just abstain on the Presidential ballot when I vote. I respect Obama quite a bit, he's just sooooo liberal for me.
  13. I assume from this post you give Bush and his fellow Republicans 100% of the blame for the current crisis. I believe he deserves a fair amount of criticism, maybe even more than half. There is a lot of reason to place much the blame on Democrats as well. Quite frankly, most of the blame goes to Wall Street and to Main Street, not either end of Pennsylvania Ave. My main point is that I know many liberals who played the role of Chicken Little in 2000 and 2004. I would agree that the Bush presidency has been a big bust, but don't act surprised when conservatives have the same view of a pote
  14. Yes, only conservatives are prone to hyperbole. All criticism of GWB and JMcCain is completely rational.
  15. "Rollerskate Skinny" & "King of All the World" by Old 97s. They're on a mix CD I made for the kids. They insist on listening to it everytime I pick them up at day care. Just from the beginning, so we never make it far into the disc.
  16. Is he still involved? Will any of what he recorded still be included? If any good comes out of this fiasco it would be a little prosperity for him.
  17. That's when I went to bed. I couldn't stay up for extras which I assumed would take place.
  18. Thanks for the reminder, never got the SBS extras.
  19. Oil has dropped below $70. Right now, I'm paying around $2.50/gallon for gas. That's affecting my personal bottom line much more than the Dow. Especially since my wife's employer (Wells Fargo) went up yesterday despite the market's tank and their less than hoped for earnings report.
