  1. We ought to really disassemble the Statue of Liberty and send it to a more deserving country.
  2. Good show. Different than I expected. Ben Folds tonight. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. J.C. Brooks & the Uptown Sound
  4. Post a link if this shows up anywhere. Which I'm sure it has. Thanks!! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. This is exactly my experience with WTF. No exaggeration to say that it really helped me get through this year that my mom passed. Most of the others I enjoy have already been mentioned. Freakonomics (my 11 year old daughter enjoys most episodes too The Sporkful Radiolab Footy for Two (soccer podcast featuring Freakonomics' Stephen Dubner and his teenage son) Dear Hank & John (young adult author John Green and his brother. A bit geeky sometimes. Reasonable Doubt - Adam Corolla and Mark Garagos - Corolla's a bit of a douche and a master of the strawman argument, but I keep on listening T
  6. Listened today. Solid as usual. Love the Kelly Hogan harmonies. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Listening now. It's amazing how age changes the perception of time. I distinctly remember when Rolling Stone saluted the 20th anniversary of Sgt. Pepper in 1987. I was 17. That album had existed my whole life and I was aware of most of my life, as long as I can remember. Twenty years seemed like an eternity to me. Now Being There is 20 years old. I've been in my teaching career longer than that and it seems like a flash. The album still sounds fresh to these ears.
  8. Me too, but I worry about lines, car wrecks, death, and other foreseeable events. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. I hope you had the volume up to 11 for BSOR. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Lou Reed's New York may be the most topical album ever recorded, but it holds up because the topics are connected to timeless themes and it has a very unique sound. I think this LP will have a similar legacy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Not if you trust the New York Times recount. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I remember my mind being blown by it. I now regularly blow my 7th grade students' minds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Josh Ritter put on a fantastic opening show. One of the best I've ever seen. Isbell was fantastic as ever. His live shows keep getting better. Such good playing. Unbelievable setlist.
  14. Jason Isbell w/ Josh Ritter opening.
  15. Seeing him Sunday for the 4th time in as many years. Anyone know if Amanda is touring with him? Never seen her in his band.
  16. Southeastern is a classic. Crushes me every time. There's nothing wrong with Something More Than Free. Some fantastic songs, but it'll be hard to maintain the form he had on Southeastern.
  17. I agree. I wonder if Isbell's recent efforts have pushed them. A bit of a friendly rivalry.
  18. This will hurt more than it will help. They would've done more good endorsing Trump. The vast majority of his voters hate Hollywood elites and for them to make this just shows how stupid, insulated and egotistical they are. I mean, Donald is even more than them, but still...
  19. He's also producing the new Yawpers album. I saw something on FB that they were allowed to raid the loft for gear. This excites me greatly! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
