Freakonomics (my 11 year old daughter enjoys most episodes too The Sporkful Radiolab Footy for Two (soccer podcast featuring Freakonomics' Stephen Dubner and his teenage son) Dear Hank & John (young adult author John Green and his brother. A bit geeky sometimes. Reasonable Doubt - Adam Corolla and Mark Garagos - Corolla's a bit of a douche and a master of the strawman argument, but I keep on listening T

  14. Listening now. It's amazing how age changes the perception of time. I distinctly remember when Rolling Stone saluted the 20th anniversary of Sgt. Pepper in 1987. I was 17. That album had existed my whole life and I was aware of most of my life, as long as I can remember. Twenty years seemed like an eternity to me. Now Being There is 20 years old. I've been in my teaching career longer than that and it seems like a flash. The album still sounds fresh to these ears.
  15. Me too, but I worry about lines, car wrecks, death, and other foreseeable events. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I hope you had the volume up to 11 for BSOR. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Lou Reed's New York may be the most topical album ever recorded, but it holds up because the topics are connected to timeless themes and it has a very unique sound. I think this LP will have a similar legacy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Not if you trust the New York Times recount. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I remember my mind being blown by it. I now regularly blow my 7th grade students' minds. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Josh Ritter put on a fantastic opening show. One of the best I've ever seen. Isbell was fantastic as ever. His live shows keep getting better. Such good playing. Unbelievable setlist.
