I got it, but not in a bad way. More in a professional way. With all the changes Wilco has been through, better to not be too emotionally invested.

I think in the long view of history employers have never truly respected the workforce. There was a time in post WWII America when workers had leverage over employers for a lot of reasons (strong unions, booming economy gave added value to workers, harder to export jobs than it is now). Unfortunately, that time was an aberration, not the norm. I don't see any easy fixes to this.

I listened to The Both (Aimee Mann & Ted Leo) a couple of times this weekend. A good album that really gets Aimee Mann rockin' like I haven't heard in a while.

Today this placed bummed me out. Seriously bummed met out.

I couldn't agree more with Chinese Apple and bleedorange, but questioning the decisions of the moderators is out of bounds. It's too bad because I think the specific incident that led to Jules' banning (if it is what I think it is) could be open to multiple interpretations. I think it also breeds an us against them mentality which actually fuels as much flaming, trolling, etc. and it is designed to curtail.

I'll be shocked if it's still here at noon CDT.

I will go on the record as missing them both. It was Jules' posts probably more than anyone else's that made me really interested in this place 6 years ago.

Ban for life. It didn't take long at all for ESPN to put together a montage of ALL his biting moments. I mean Tyson shocked the world with ONE bite.

I saw the first 20 minutes then went to the Isbell show trying to avoid spoilers. A friend texted me "Well that sucked!" Knowing we were down 1-0 already, I feared the worst, so a draw waws kind of a pleasant surprise. We still have a better chance than not to qualify and that Portugal tie was spectacular, can't really fault the U.S. for much. Howard played unbelievably. I hope Klinsmann has some tricks up his sleeve and some good insight into his countrymen for Thursday.

Holy crap! Best rock show I've seen in a while. I need to brush up on his catalog now!

Since I'm seeing Jason Isbell at 6:30 and the game starts at 5:00, I'm going to try to avoid any spoilers. Not sure it will be possible not to overhear something at the show, but I really hope so.
